check the earth lead going to the bulk head if this has corroded then it would cause this. Does it crank? do all the lights work ok? (they dont look dim)

Ive got the same controller and using a gain of 17, and the top ratio of 60 in normal conditions this will give me 1.10 bar the spool time is good with that gain and it very rarely gets to the limited boost of 1.12 bar. Hope this helps Eddie

I would NOT wire it this way. As the head unit and dvd player are not designed to have a signal being fed in to it through an output. What you can do is have a switching unit that will take the 2 inputs and allows the output to be switched between them
