Sourcing 99 spec rear lights
CZP is going to be the better deal. I got mine from them some time ago as I worked the maths. Even from Japan stocks they are looking expensive which is where Zcentre ultimately would be getting them from through Nissan.

New design 300zx wheels
It’s as if they tried to make with a lip and it wasn’t possible. Not sure why they made the faces flush to the edge of the barrel missed opportunity for a bit of lip. You have got to seriously love these as well with the price you could get a set of Rays or Works for the same money whatever size you wanted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Brexit Poll
That’s the thing Si everyone had their own opinion which is why we had such a split vote. EU and Brexit is different for everyone and nearly half the population are not going to be happy and will continue to drag on for many years I suspect. I am happy we are leaving a conglomerate of countries which can never satisfy everyone equally. We are still part of Europe though. The future EU countries to join is disturbing to read though but like I say some people that will not be a concern. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Replica blank titanium keys back on Ebay
Saw these keys appear on the market and thought they looked poor quality compared to the OEM and Aruba ones. Glad I managed to find a full set of locks with titanium key as it’s a shame Dave stopped doing his and they did look good Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My Black SWB TT build
A little update as I’ve always got loads going on and plans for the Zed. Wheel colour this time. I’ve been watching some successes using liquid wrap which you can spray on and then peel off if not happy. Not a fan of vinyl wrap due to so many jobs looking incomplete and poor. Liquid wrap is basically plasti dip made better in that you can get pro get sprayed with a gun that can be sanded and polished after you apply the topcoat or follow the trend of 10 years ago and stay matte. Started experimenting with it and half way through my wheels now as my end colour scheme will finish with a shade of gold wheels. I’ve got 11J Cosmis on the rear that are practically brand new so easy enough to clean up for the job. I’ve used 3 coats of black matte as the prime and then one coat of the stealth gold which being called stealth think pearl as it will give off a different depth of colour at different angles. I’m going to give a second light coat of gold on this before the top gloss coat. Being liquid wrap it isn’t prone to runs as much as paint is and is a lot more user friendly plus if you don’t like it you just peel it off [emoji1] I plan on doing the whole car in the end with another colour and will leave it to the final pictures. The company I use also provide training courses which I will be booking on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Brexit Poll
A lot of posts on here too much to catch up on now [emoji1] Gets more attention than the average Zed post [emoji1] Interesting to see people’s views though you get a real feel for the type of person they are or maybe just their view from where they lay their head at night it makes a big difference. For me I’m out it’s a matter of national security for a start something which I have awareness of. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Insurance agreed valuation
I had a response from Performance Direct as I was trying to ascertain in what form they require a valuation from a club however it’s not quite clear still. Below is what they sent. We will take a valuation from a car club or a classic garage, or a garage that specialises in classic Japanese cars. You can send the details over when you have received them and we will have a look into this for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Insurance agreed valuation
Again this is why they are asking for the 2 part valuation verification therefore submitting pictures and description to them for the underwriter along with a valuation from a specialist or club. If the 2 are incongruent then they will not accept the agreed valuation. You will not get 15k for a rust bucket zed whatever anyone says as they will look at it and refuse however a well presented zed will get the agreed value that is the whole point of agreed value. I had 12k agreed last year through the same simple process. I think you are missing the point of the underwriter valuation. Also I’m sure the club here would not endorse an inflated valuation however prices are increasing and a lot of zeds that are now valued/listed over 10k and after some latest research people are now paying this price in the UK. Insurance agreed valuation
My middle paragraph in the initial is a direct copy and paste from the email they sent me so it appears valuation by a club is accepted in conjunction with sending them pictures and details. Obviously you are not going to get an agreed value if the pictures and spec do not warrant it in their eyes or more so the underwriters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I will confirm with Performance Direct what they require from a club for valuation and in what format as it may be a screenshot or an email from the club. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Insurance agreed valuation
Morning all. Just had my Nauruan W renewal quote from performance direct and I’m looking to increase the agreed value from 12k to 16k. The response they have submitted is the following to be able to achieve this. This wouldn’t be an agreed value at the moment, to get an agreed value you will need to fill in the form, send over pictures of the car and get someone that specialise in classic car or an owners club to value the car. Once you have sent all of the relevant details to us, we will pass them over to the insurance company and if they agree with the value then there will be an agreed value on the car. Therefore are we as a club in a position yet to verify agreed values for insurance in whatever form they require? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just flicked through all generic pics and seem to be quite pricey in general. I’d check the prices against Amayama.com Added the seller to my watch list in case anything decent comes up.
