  2. Sometimes its fine and starts within a few cranks but most the time its hard to start at cold and warm but easier when its warmed up. Ill get a compression tester and check the results.
  3. Yes that sounds just like mine any way to test to make sure. However i think it may be time to get a s2 ptu.
  4. Ah right yes im getting that then. What about pressure regulator will that cause lack of fuel pressure at start up? It just feels like the fuel is getting dragged from the tank before the engine fires.
  5. Ok had a look and ive got no more fuel leaks in the engine bay so im kinda thinking that the electric pump is knackered. Should i be able to hear it whirring in the boot with just the ignition on and anymore thoughts on what it could be. Cheers
  6. Spoke to the guys on the phone down at custom exotics very friendly will be popping down to see them soon. :)
  7. New temp sensor fitted and still taking ages to start there must be a fuel leak somewhere on the low pressure side im gonna have the throttle cover off and have more of a look this afternoon but where are the prone to leaking spots? Is it all under the bonnet area

  9. Hey folks can anyone recommend a good bodyshop around the Cambridge area i think its hard to get a true reflection of a bodyshop without some good recommendations from previous work. Cheers Marty
  10. Had a look today and found a fuel leak on the low pressure side just under the balance pipe so sorted that but still takes ages to start. Waiting on new temp sensor coming and will see if that cures it however my mpg might be a little bit better now :)
  11. A bodyshop near me has just quoted me £350 each side with them panels which does seem a bit much to me

  14. Just ordered a new temp sensor ive got no idea how long that one has been in there so i thought i would be safe will see if that cures it. :)
  15. Ah ill give that a go starter motor is fine she cranks for ages before firing thats the problem
  16. yes fine when started idling no problems and no power loss
  17. yep got a s1 ptu would that not cause running problems as well if it was faulty? Ill check for fuel leaks in the light tomorrow

  21. This is every time i start it will take about 10-20 seconds of turning over will i be able to hear the fuel pump in the boot? Then sometimes she will fire instantly but only rarely.
  22. As above my zed takes ages to fire is there a non return valve in the fuel system to stop the fuel lines draining when you switch off? Or anyone else had the same problem and ideas please thanks alot Marty
  23. Yeah i see what you mean it will work i just didnt think it will look that tidy with pipes off the balance pipe with bolts in
