  1. probably not alot, you could go on theres a lot about, i like arias forged excellent design for the circlip, and rather than fecking around trying to pry them dodgy circlips weisco supply, arias use a sprung type clip that screws in and makes fitting the pistons to the rods in seconds rather than hours :D not sure what je or cp but both have good credentials, off subject i wouldnt touch wesico with a barge pole personally :p seen a few c-clip failures and wrecked block's being the outcome.
  2. the original strosek was very similar to the paul bailey design, which i may be wrong on saying is the same, or a similar copy the rear strosek is nice, but i personally dont like the front however, horses for courses

i have just got back from neils house, and a look over the car and all seems good, no oil/smoke from what i can see, the bodykit is a one off only 1 in the uk, 19inch rims and generally in good nick for age, being honest its not perfect, as 16years old cars go though id say its a good buy especily for 3k! you wont find a manual z for 3k luckily neil has a convertible, and his misses is moaning about lack of space as all woman do :p pmt i think they call it i was going to buy it, however i can build my own from spares :D enjoy
  6. well done mate, remember being moderator means you have to sit on your arse all day doing ****all except press delete and act all macho :D
  7. you cant win. running rich on cylinders for long periods does not do the pistons/bore much good neither, so a balance inbetween is vital in the longetivity of your engine
  8. PMSL well if you do you will be the first, and a very rich man :D
  9. pmsl cant beat the smell of burning oil on a hot summers day

the main culprits are the injector&coil pack connectors, if you don't fancy doing the whole loom from the ecu, replacing the above normally makes a vast improvment although due to the heat most plugs after 15years are brittle&need replacing, injectors and coilpacks area good start, and checking for any breaks in the circuit
  11. you around for a while then andy? i take it you have not sorted your z out?, all these years working on 300's and not sorted your own
  12. sorry mate, bit late but i checked the one i had and it must be uk spec
  13. and better
  14. yep precisely and not blaming the oil but 10-40 gtx is a mineral oil, so does not protect the engine all that well, ideal for flushes or running in period where you barely going over 3k rpm.
  15. you will get a very small increase in performance, basic idea is more in more out so if your engine breaths better it will perform better.you may notice a slightly throatier engine sound, especially on a raspy NA, dependant on how loud your exhaust is
  16. by the looks of it goes to the heater control amp, black box with 4 connections going to it,there is normally a little box also attached to the module, with control assy wrote on the back it may go to that HTH
  17. HG failure so all that was done was heads skimmed and checked within tolerance, new gaskets/seals, just to clarify
  18. about £20 in halfords
  19. looks good mate, although as you have it outside the car its going to be used as a climbing frame i presume :p
  20. rip david, condolences to familey and friends greg&kath

yep anything above 1bar of boost and injectors and turbos are at max duty cycle, even with 555s and map the turbos are ineffiaciant after that
  22. a mild modified car only needs boost water temp oil press the more gauges the more paranoid you become and you end up looking at 5 gauges rather than the road, thats a fact :p
  23. no they have infa red pickup so both can work of each other however you dont need both and tbh the power meter is overkill anyway, i fitted mine next to the steering wheel where the hicas light panel is fits perfect and is in drivers line but as said the profec fits nicely in the clock position, depends what you want i spose bud
