turboing a na engine??? help
you can use the NA engine, all feeds are present, will need to swap a few parts though sump- for oil return and oil cooler feed upper metal pipes for coolant feeds to turbos TT manifolds/turbos/hardware swap clutch/flywheel, make sure a spigot is fitted in the crank especially if the engine was from an auto. as said compression ratio is higher, so boost is advisable to stick to stock boost a small loss in power due to the head ports are more narrow so will be more restrictive to manifolds everything bottom end is the same other than the pistons, so no worries there. swap over the wastegate solenoids to the na engine other than that you should be ok.

theres a thought! however that will only be the case if has smithy style feeds ie.. induvidual hoses, the standard metal pipes dictates where it should has to go.

EGR removal
off subject,Plugging the vaccuum feed in effect removes the EGR, its a darn arse of a job to remove every part of the EGR in situ, its just not worth it, once engine is out as fraser says its easy. overcome a problem thats not a problem? removal of a unit that pumps recycled fumes/gases back through the cycle, increasing engine temps in turn increase the risk of pre ignition. The whole systym is nissans way of saying look were making the effort and being more green! crock of over engineered shite IMO

Plenum bypass
you dont need to block anything bud, its a case of snipping the hoses coming out from under the plenum so NO coolant passes around under the plenum, these are then redundant, you then fit the hoses in a way they go to the turbos only rather than a puzzled direction.

gearbox earth
should be ok, but again, whats the harm in putting clamps on them, was you preparing to take the engine back out  why not put the car back to a drivable state, ie exhausts, tighten everything, refit things not connected it may be something silly that way when you realize the faut, you have covered all these areas and know for certain its not this/that etc. greg
