  1. time off mate, doing bits and bobs though ;)
  2. you need to add all the parts needed inc labour as lymon said oil pump bearings rings pistons? gasket kit engine rebuild service kit inc tensioner, cambelt, waterpump engineer work inc heads checked for tolerances, valve stems, and valves checked so add up time and parts and you will get a ballpark figure
  3. old legrath has always complained about crotch rub,he thought getting married would result in less chaffing how wrong was he PMSL
  4. oil pressure is at its highest when cold, and a brief tap is fine,as its just the oil working its way around the lifters, best bit of advice is get a quality exhaust systym, with wide straight through pipes, you wont hear a tap again :D
  5. the problem is your going on honesty wether or not the engine had good comp, secondly the heads could be on there way out, lifters could be ****ed.so you pay your money and take a chance unfortunatly
  6. hmmmm, now you know i like them :D very nice bud,5spoke deep dish, thats the only thing that looks good on a 300
  7. it aint going to be det at idle, this will only occur whilst on boost, and will really only be noticable at low RPMS bird try not to get confused with detonation/lifter noises as said get it checked out! it may be due to low oil pressure and the fact the lifters are always the first to suffer due to where they are,at the top of the engine last place oil reaches :( so until your leak is sorted this will not be resolved, and left like it may cause damage to the topend, and then work down to the bottom end,its not unusual for a sticky lifter to tap,you can try a small cup of ATF then a good flush and fresh oil&filter change, but TBH id get a cheap runaround and get the car sorted once and for all, then go from there! all the best

theres a company we use down here who have setup many 300s,and know all the specific -+ of camber toe in etc,if there a competant suspension garage then they should be able to sort it,obviously the front upper arms need to be replaced for ajustable control arms,as standard are non ajustable,ARBs are setup to how you want it,the stillen ones have 3positions from hard-soft so need to be ajusted to how you drive, thats whats its all about tuning it to your style of driving greg

  11. belated,but hope you had a good day ;)
  12. hi simon when it comes to reconecting the hicas hoses wether they have been replaced or refitted, topping up the pas pot will do fine, turn the wheels through full lock left to right whilst topping up should get the fluid back round the systym just fine, keep topping up until no more is needed, then after a while check for leaks around the systym, when refitting hoses use new copper washers and retighten to correct torque setting greg

of course it spins with the engine its belt driven, but when the viscous looses viscosity, then it will not keep up with the engine momentum, hence why it may not be up to the job in traffic

the only differance,is uk cars have a bigger pulley wheel on the waterpump,so in therory it spins more RPM than a j-spec so yes that correct, wether it makes a differance i doubt it
  23. ARC is a big name in japanese tuning and they have made some spot on products, inc intake, intercoolers, radiators etc,so by standards should be a good rad
