  1. roughly going by whatyou have put there, 37, but tbh its early and im in the middle of doing stuff so could be wrong. If i had a drawing i could tell you instatly but all the words are kinda jumbling into one !lol
  2. ive bought a second hand DW hicas brackets and adjustable arms, but rather than use polybushes i would prefer to solid mount. Does anyone have a rear hub handy and a set of verniers they could measure for me ? I need to know the ID of the hole as well as the depth, and i can get some ally bushes made up :) I dont want to dismantle mine to do it as im not long to go with the welding then sticking it in for an mot so dont want to be left with the hicas broken and the machinists not able to do the bushes quick enough. any help would be appreciated :batman:
  3. thats a case for the ombudsman mate, i wouldnt even flinch at doing that if they tried to fiddle me
  4. im with sky too but not for the zed, beat all other companies bby near on 200 quid and with drive other cars on the policy at no extra charge :) and they actually know what they are talking about which helps
  5. holy shit 4ms ping rate ! that would be awesome for online gaming :D
  6. i always took out a plug and stuck in a small metal rod into a bore and turned over the engine slowly untill the rod showed me where tdc was ( if the marks on the engine were not visible) im not sure which cylinder it woul be on the zed though.
  7. little tip mate, dont use a hot air gun, use cold on the sound deadening, it just chips away with a hammer :) I used some dry ice last time i had alot to remove, you can get it from BOC. Glad its not just me thats got a huhe uphill task welding a zed, best of luck and if i was closer would happily lend a hand
  8. turn up the boost till the black ssmoke goes away :D lol
  9. looks like overfuelling !
  10. i doubt its the pistons/rings. More than likely top end, could be stuck valves, HG doesnt seem likely across all three bores but its possible.
  11. checked for a blocked fuel filter, ive had that before.
  12. boost leak sounds possible
  13. Getting a head skimmed is usually only about 40 quid for a good job. Fiz it mate, your not going to get a car anywhere near as fun for the money
  14. sound mate :) il know details tomorrow
  15. me and a mate rent it, no company involved :)
  16. cheers, il find out tomorrow if the lease gets renewed, if so its all good. If not im ****ed as ive got loads of stuff and will have nowhere to out it ! lol
  17. yup got a 1 tonne hoist,150 ltr compressor, 2x 3 tonne trolley jacks, 3 pairs of axle stands, mig welder, tig welder, socket sets etc ;)
  18. its also worth mentioning contamination of the flywheel or clutch, had this happen couple years back, small amount of oil had touched the plate and it kept slipping, had to replace the plate
  19. yup ive taken a note mate :)
  20. just noticed this mate, how does this weekend suit ?
  21. IMHO unless your pushing SERIOUS horsepower, a 2.5 ich system is more than sufficient. The gas produced from 2 x 1.5 litre turbo engine just doesnt call for 3 inch bore pipework
  22. basically yes, minimum new seals on the turbos, worst case new engine and turbos !
  23. burning oil, more than likely be your turbos then. sorry !
  24. Whoa bad news mate what colour is the heavier smoke ? white smoke is water, thats indicates HG or merely conndensation depending on the amount.
