Need helping in finding these bits.
While doing my zed project I've managed to shear off a few bolts :mac1: With metric being what it is I'm having real difficulty in working out the taps and dies that I need for the most common sizes on the zed. I'd like to build up a set that would cover most, if not all sizes of taps and dies used on the zed. However, the ones I need the quickest are taps for the wing bolt holes (top ones) and a tap for the hydraulic arm threads in the boot lid. Can anyone point me in the right direction or let me know the details of the taps/dies I will need for the zed i.e size/pitch ect. Many thanks Dave

running in
Not sure mate, however I would think that it would be a standard run in i.e 500miles or so at 3k or less.

NEW series of wheeler dealers.
That was a good one. Nice to see edd change the fluid and filter in an autobox, an easy job but a bit daunting first time!

Bonnet catches and pins
Might sound daft but are one of the rubbers to high? I had the same problem on my stock bonnet. I put the rubber high on the saggy side and lowered it on the high side. I also dremel'd deeper slots on the bonnet catch so I could lower it more. That fixed it for me.

Some advice on lifting the engine.
I'm ready to actually lift the engine out of my old zed. However, since I've never lifted an engine before, I thought it best to get some advice as I don't want to break or drop it..lol I'm going to hire an engine crane to do the job.. Do I need a levelling bar? or will the hook and chains be fine? How are the chains attached to the engine, do they go all round like a sling or are they bolted to the block? I've also got a clarke engine stand but it doesn't show how to actually bolt the engine on! How do I attach the engine to the stand? Cheers for any help, as always. Dave

PC Temperature ?
Yeah, mate tbh I was expecting a bit better than a good air cooled temp. Playing games like COD4 or Crysis; the cpu core will rise to about 33 - 34 degs. The gpus will be around 88! according to nvidia this is "normal" for these gpu's. I have two 80mm intake fans, that are mainly for cooling the rad. I've also got a 120mm and a 60mm output fans, the psu is 1kw and also has two 120mm fans for pulling air through it. The pc is capable of heating my room by a couple of degs! It sounds like your mate has a high quality cooling setup, mine is the thermaltake Armor LCS system which is pretty much an entry jobber.

PC Temperature ?
Watercooling will help a bit mate. I'm running a quad core extreme (getting on a bit now, but still good) with a 100% coolant mix. The core temp varies from 30 to 34 depending on load, I've also got two air cooled Nvidia GTX8800 gfx cards with a idle temp of 72oC. Pretty sure these are putting a few degrees on the cpu temp as well.

Pully set
Why would they not fit on 89 to 93 TTs? I thought they would be the same as 94 to 96.

Engine Removal Guide
On the plus size you will get the chance to give it a bit of a service, easier than when in place. Drop the sump, drain the fluid clean the magnet and flush through etc

Engine Removal Guide
I think you have to remove the box and lower it at the rear to get at the last two bolts. Will also need to do this to fit them again. Can't see the point of leaving the box in as you will have to move it twice then.

What do you want to see in the Inside out feature
Rear diff internals and AC canister thing at the front of the rad on the o/s.

Inside Out "CAS UNIT"
Wondered what the CAS did..lol Haven't had a problem (so far) with mine, but another great read Jeff!

Cas
Going from z1's web site, the CAS was changed 94 - 96. All models appear to be the same until then.

Cat/header studs.
got the part number from z1.

Cat/header studs.
Does anybody know what size and pitch the studs on the exhaust downpipes are? The ones that the cats bolt onto. Mine are rusted up and need replacing. They haven't sheared yet but that was more luck than judgement :wack: Tried searching but didn't come up with anything. Cheers Dave

e-bay n/a stock Z with 280bhp?
He's also claiming its got a drivers airbag!! Looks like a standard z wheel to me.
-
Dyno graph which is which.
They tend to quote the flywheel bhp as its higher than at the wheel, so sounds more impressive. Not to mention a lot of manufacturers actually lie about BHP!
