  1. Don't blame you mate.. On the bumper issue, do you have these ? http://www.courtesyparts.com/jdm-front-bumper-bracket-p-228667.html They're different to the 89 spec ones and I think this is why you can't pull it round to the wings properly.
  2. If you want mate, we can have a look at it when you come over, I've got a fecking great hammer and some mapp gas, that'll sort :lol: Only joking (about the gas and hammer, not the having a look :sailor:)
  3. I think that is definitely the case with me :thumbup1:
  4. Just this minute bought some mate! typical isn't it..lol Thanks anyway bud :punk:
  5. about 216nm aren't they? I found tightening them up to be a more of a bugger as even the handbrake wasn't holding the hub hard enough! Got there in the end though. Also check the grease seal on the back of the hub as well.
  6. Thanks for that mate you're a star  pm sent.
  7. I'll be following the service manual and Jeff's guide very closely when doing the belt, so should be ok :hammer:
  8. I'm doing a clean up and service of my spare engine before it goes into my zed. The engine has been in storage for over a year and I've never done engine work before so I have a few questions 1. Can anyone recommend a good "liquid gasket" for when I fit the inlet outlet pipes, water pump etc? SORTED 2. What type of gear puller will I need to pull the crank pulley off? 3. The sprockets have some surface rust on them (see pic). Are they fubar'd and need replacing or can they be cleaned up? 4. If they can be cleaned; can I take them off without shaggin up the timing, if I do one at a time and ensure the belt hasn't moved, or am I being naive? I will be replacing the cam belt as well, but engine timing is a black art to me  5. I'm also doing an EGR delete, does anyone make the plates to cover the holes left in the plenum? any help would be great
  9. Get one of these :shifty: Job Done
  10. Sounds like the HICAS ball joints have gone. Not a problem if your putting on the driftworks kit as this will replace the arms.
  11. Yeah, I've read them all. can't remember which was my fav tho' lol
  12. true, most of my old zed lives on in me new one. lol
  13. Still reading it at 38, not quite as funny as it used to be but it's still good.
  14. Yes, it would be very nice too have a winter with no zeds lost.. We loose far to many of them in winter, including my first one
