  1. Doesn't water get into the fans and break them though? I get a lot of condensation and splash on the bottom of the lids. Eggs, I will get some mate as soon as I can figure out how to get a decent one with my camera. lol
  2. Cheers for all the info lads; At the moment the tank only has 8 Rosy barbs, 2 Bronze cory's, 1 Sucking Loach and a large Plec so no where near over stocked. The fish seem fine at that temp but I want to get a couple of Silver Sharks and they really need a lower temp. Vods mate, the tank is on an outside wall & house is detached so shouldn't be causing a problem I changed to T5 as the old light unit packed in, didn't really consider the heat problems. The Tank is a Jewel RIO 400 so there isn't really room to put any fans in, which is a pity as it sounds like it would cure the problem :( Baz, The tanks 5' long about 20" deep and 18" wide, not as big as some but fine for little old me. I'll take a few pics for you mate :)
  3. Aah, maybe it's just less of a judder then. When the ABS kicked in on my vectra it would nearly brake your ankle
  4. Yeah mate it's gutting losing fish when they were fine before :( It's been said before but were more water keepers than fish keepers. get the water right and the fish will look after themselves. Ironically it's a lot harder to keep smaller tanks healthy than it is large ones. Simply because a small upset in the chemistry can affect a small tank much more adversely than a big tank. RIP Foxes
  5. Not having a go mate, honest lol. Just think it's a lot easier to connect upto to the ecu. Can't say I've really noticed the engine revs change when I put it in gear.
  6. I thought that the zed ABS was a silent type? i.e. you don't feel it through the pedal when its activated. Am I wrong then? On the judder, I'm thinking warped disc too..
  7. I've got a 450L tropical tank that is fully matured and doesn't give me any grief except for one thing - The water temperature! It's hovering around 29 to 30 deg C. It's been like this since I upgraded the lights to T5's. The lights run for 11 hours a day but I have tried a period of just running them for 6 with no drop in temp. The tank is not near a radiator, I have done 10% water changes with cold water to reduce the temp but it's only ever brought it down to around 27.5 and only for a short period. I have left the lid propped up to see if that helps remove some heat. The tank has a large canister external filter that skims the top and bottom and provides very good water agitation. I'm out of ideas and worried about it as god knows what temp it will reach in the summer :cursing: Oh and I haven't had the heater plugged in since December! Anything else I could try?
  8. Didn't know that, cheers for the info :)
  9. Why not just connect the neutral switch to the ecu pin 44 set the timing at 15 and let the ECU advance it as required, the way god intended? Saves a lot of faffing about with your timing :)
  10. Sorry to hear this bud, I'm pretty sure everything has already been mentioned. Agree with the stress zyme and stress coat, I use this stuff all the time when changing water, cleaning filter or adding fish. Stress coat removes chlorine and heavy metals plus it can also help with fish health. Stresss Zyme is live filter bacteria, which will boost the growth of natural bacteria. The good bacteria grows over every surface so when you changed the gravel you also removed a massive amount of the good bacteria. Hence the cloudy water and fish deaths etc. (as vods and Z32bolt said). On the bright side though plecs are very hardy fish and can survive a lot of water condition changes. So he should be ok.
  11. Congratulations matey :) Hope you had a great day
  12. Ooh, that doesn't look good! I don't know much about the turbo but it's defiantly not a mod I'm afraid :( The turbos wont last very long at all with out a water feed. Don't start the engine until it's replaced.
  13. I like it. Yeah the Mk3 supra was prettier but it's still a very nice example. Which version had the digital dash then, or was that an option only?
  14. Very true mate. I would still spend it though. Chinese for tea nom...nom....nom...:shifty:
  15. How much are we talking about here?
  16. I took it out of my old jdm and didn't have any problems. I was scrapping it at the time though. lol See you thought I was being helpful there, didn't ya??
  17. Take it out with extreme prejudice mate :) Haven't heard of any problems with it being deleted..
  18. Spend it, maybe teach them to be more bloody careful with their tracking procedures. lol
  19. As Smithy says mate, the UK spec zeds don't have the upper brake light.
  20. Also if this is the first time you've changed the clutch it would make sense to check the release bearing for wear. The clutch fork and pivot ball should also be checked as the pivot ball can wear out and crack.
  21. Phew!! Thanks Jeff. Have some rep. lol
  22. Which side of the sprocket should that washer go on, front or behind?? When I did mine, it was behind the sprocket (right way round though) and I put it back this way. Is this right?? I'm panicking now! lol
  23. That could have been a very costly mistake, good catch Jeff :)
  24. Best bet for a standard clutch is MJP. Don't forget to block off the rear of the gearbox when you drop it, or you'll pour oil everywhere, apart from that it's pretty straight forward changing the clutch :) HTH
