Ecu Id:
Not sure about the ECU but the problem doesn't really make sense. The ECU does not affect the reading on the speedo. So, if you've put UK spec clocks into a Jap car and it under reads, then it sounds like you have a speedo convertor wired in there somewhere already. Did your previous clocks read right ? Do the new clocks have the same scale, or even a standard scale ?

which wipers?
Usually use Bosch Tried the flatblade ones but were hopeless - too much curvature - didn't wipe the centre of the screen AutoExpress did a product test on wipers and I think they rated the Valeo ones as best - it's on their website.

You could try and use the one built into the rear window, that looks similar to the heater element.

help with water leak
Yep, agreed, most likely candidate (along with water pump). Stubby pipes are about £12 each, or were when I did mine.

Can you Remember?
I'm sure I read somewhere that now the threat is no worse, but people just worry about it more. It's really a media driven thing, we have so many channels and newspapers to fill that EVERYTHING makes the news, people feel the threat is real and local. In general people are very bad at understanding (or managing risk). They tend to rate low probability but high impact as high risk (eg being killed by a terrorist bomb) and high probability, low/medium impact as low risk (eg crashing a car). You are far more likely to be killed in a car than by a terrorist.

Collection for Harry (RedZeds son)
Just a thought, should you be using a bank transfer and be considering an amount identical to a typical subscription, please could you make it just a penny different - it's a nightmare sorting out those as the reference information often gets stripped as it goes from bank to bank. Thanks.

Redline MT90 or Royal Purple Syncromax?...
Absolutely agree. Don't think the oil is a different weight, just a slightly different spec). The decision was made with Oilman's advice.

uk clocks in J-Spec car
Well they were as close as any UK cluster would be. My old Jap one was spot on because I had a calibrated converter in it. There are a couple of screws for fine tuning the speedo, but I've never got around to fiddling with them.

uk clocks in J-Spec car
No, I installed the new clock assemblies into the old circuit board. The old/new boards have different connectors and obviously those connectors have to match your existing wiring loom.

uk clocks in J-Spec car
Hmmm, can't remember. Although, I vaguely recollect altering it to be right for my car, so maybe I did use use the new one.

I think in Word you just create one document and then do the rest in the printing. eg 4 on one sheet.

Redline MT90 or Royal Purple Syncromax?...
It's supposed to be an interim fix/bodge for noisy synchros, but it's harsh on the box and certainly won't extend it's life, probably quite the opposite. The original spec oil is probably best, I took a gamble on a more modern fully synth.
