  1. Very nice of him, they are quite sought after.
  2. Well if you want cheap then use PlusNet, just don't expect good service, or your email to stay private (or even backed up!).
  3. It messes with the auto gearbox changes, make them sharper, different place in the rev range etc.
  4. My basic guidance is stick with the people who own the wire - if you're using BT wire, then use BT service. If you have a choice of cable (Sky etc) then consider those. If you only care about the money then go to MoneySupermarket etc (Disclaimer: Other comparison sites are available) ;) Don't use AOL .... PLEASE don't use AOL .....
  5. Coffee also rising ! http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/fds/hi/business/market_data/commodities/11705/default.stm
  6. I understand we can expect normal unleaded to be £1.50 by the end of the Summer, guess that means diesel and super will be about £1.75 - not happy .....
  7. The speed signal was definitely there on the main ECU, probably need to double check whether it was intermittent though as spent a lot of time looking at the gearbox screen. Thanks.
  8. Think I need my old Xantia back !
  9. You can 'just raise the boost' on a standard ECU, but it basically runs off the edge of the map pretty soon and you end up with default fuel/ignition parameters, which will almost certainly be wrong. You can run 12psi or so, but it is a bit of a gamble.

  11. Eric, Just to be absolutely clear, the car with the problem is an NA auto, he also has a TT auto. The NA showed nothing at all on ConZult for the gearbox until I unplugged it and reconnected it. Then it seemed to work for a while, but was still throwing up errors during being driven. I think that autobox ECU is sick.
  12. Not quite sure how you have this configured, but is your main PC set up with Internet Sharing turned on ? If so turn it off. Any of the devices on the network, should be getting their IP address etc via DHCP from the Sky router, if that is happening, then they should all work, without any problems, or additional authentication.
  13. Your local motor factor will be cheaper, much cheaper. Think I paid about £39 or £45 last time.
  14. You ought to be able to get classic insurance, I think I paid about £170 last time.
  15. Mine is TK3 too and the guy in the bodyshop mixed/ordered it himself when I got my spoiler done, it was as near to a perfect match as I think you could get.
  16. Nah, they're both 11:00pm goddesses. Like the idea of Julia Bradbury though. Also, saw an old Shooting Stars the other night - Ulrikakakakakaka - just remembered how gorgeous she was. Still can't get VBH out my mind though !
  17. A J plate on a '96 car, series II, not everything is adding up here ? Although going by the no boost gauge then I guess it is a late model car with a private plate. Could be a bargaining point with a dumb salesman though ....
  18. I got one of these, seems to work ok. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/products/products/212403/ctek_multi_xs_3600.html
  19. It's not about the broadband provider, it's about the amount of crap it dumps on your machine and how it f*cks up the interface. Makes it a complete b'stard to support for anyone who is used to a non-AOL system.
  20. Well I'd be happy to keep hold of it, that way people can just post it back to the Club PO box address (as that comes to my house). So if you sort out postage etc with whomever wants to borrow it now, then they can return it to me for the next person.
  21. They do fit and I think there was a black car that had a set fitted.
  22. AOL is Evil, AOL is Evil, repeat after me .... AOL is Evil .....
  23. It was only a gentlemen's agreement and when the competition started selling more powerful cars then it kinda got forgotten about. Same as the 125bhp limit for bikes.
  24. So it looks like red and black are the most popular colours there then !
  25. So was that pump faulty or just incompatible ?
