Slightly off track, but I just read Lemmy's (of Motorhead) biography and the number of people he knew who are now dead is really unpleasant.
  2. LOL - he already makes money from it - he works for a betting web site. It's the only sure way ! :D

    This shows a PFR6B 11 vs a PFR6 11C

There are supposed to be little packets of silica gel in the headlight shells to absorb moisture. You may be able to dry them out using a hairdryer/hotair gun, then they should stay condensation free for quite a while.
  5. I believe history suggests otherwise !
  6. Now you must be joking !
  7. It's just the rubber starting to perish, wouldn't worry about it too much. Just drive it more, then you'll soon need new ones ;)

  9. Good point, been talking at cross purposes here ! I'll get me coat ....
  10. I'd guess it's that little red bit behind the gear lever. It's prevents you putting the car into gear unless you have engine running, brake on etc. The red switch disables it.
  11. Especially on a V-Max ! LOL He can't have been trying, they should munch most things in a straight line. 0-60 will be closer to 3 secs than 4.
  12. Definitely warming to it. Like the fogs, just a little unsure about round the backs of the wheels. Kind of looks like it needs mudflaps or summat. I do like the moulded splashguard things that many of the imports have.
  13. There is still a rim protector on the S-03's, but it's smaller than on the S-02's. I guess it may be something to do with different compounds, tyrewall thicknesses, temperatures etc.
  14. Those gay bars are just for Northeners, we never go to them ! It's kind of like the tourist thing, you know.
  15. Nope - didn't have enough hands - will have to find an assistant !
  16. Just tested mine and got 0.19v, or more or less twice what is recomended as 'safe' in the article. To my knowledge my car has never had a matrix replaced and certainly hasn't in the 4.5 years I've had it. Really interested in seeing the results of someone who has had the problem, especially a 'repeat offender' !
  17. Approx 300miles to £50, which is about £10 to 60 miles in your langauge or 21mpg in mine.
  18. Is it me or does Leek and Potato Cup A Soup stay (undrinkably) hot longer than other thinner soups such as Minestrone ? Discuss .... :D
  19. I find that quote almost unbelieveable, knowing what I do about Norwich Union ! My last quote from them was about 3 times that !! Are you absolutely certain they have it down as an import ? To be sure tell them it's a Nissan Fairlady, not a 300zx.

    Some useful info here :- http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/rims.html http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/lug.html
  21. I seem to remember that its insured for a fixed number of days. 90???
  22. Has anyone been playing CelebDAQ ? Pathetic I know, but I've lost so much money on the real Stock Exchange that I thought I might as well play something a little safer ! LOL
  23. Having ordered a trendy new CD/MP3 head unit I decided to sell my old one. James (Jaffa) picked it up today and as my new one hasn't yet arrived I thought I might as well put the original Nissan one back until such time as the new one appears. Didn't bother connecting the aerial, because a) the plug didn't fit and b) no frequency converter, so would be Radio 2 only (FFS). So all I have is a cassette ! Bloody hell, took me 15 minutes to even find one and all I could dig up was The Dammed, Greatest Hits, so it'll be "New Rose" about 10 times on the way to work ! ;) At least I managed to fit the new handsfree for my new Nokia 6310i
  24. Wow - there aren't many of those in the UK !!!! I know someone in St Albans who has/had one.
  25. Not trying to start trouble here, but it's been chipped and now it's in safety boost ?!? WTF ? "Safety boost" will be reset to normal each time the ignition is turned off/on.
