  3. Geoff, I didn't bother to read all the guff about religion/evolution because there were simply too many words and I would have died of boredom before the end. However, I didn't consider it offensive, neither did I feel that it seriously contravened our acceptable use policy. If you posted about your religion then it's unlikely that I'd moderate that either, unless you were insulting others. Personally, I feel that religion is the root cause of most problems in the world, but I'm not going to make it worse by censoring people who wish to discuss it reasonably. (Although posting someone elses text hardly counts as discussion ;)) Peace.

So there I was giving advice to someone else whose car is spewing out water. Never happens to mine (except since the water pump failed 30k miles ago) so I'm feeling smug. This evening I drive away from the work car park thinking, "Hmmm, someones car has leaked there, maybe it was rain, hang on, it hasn't rained today". Get home and notice that the water temp is 75 deg C, rather than the normal 71C. Leave the car in the garage and go in for dinner. Go back to check an hour later and there is a puddle in the garage - B0ll0x ! 1.5 litres of water and the level is back to normal, leave it ticking over for a bit and nothing drips. 10 mile drive up to the shops and back - still nothing dripping, but there is just a little dampness on one of the belts. So I'm now fairly sure that it's either one of the short pipes above the water pump, or the pump itself ..... arse'oles! So anyway, I'm supposed to be getting it MOT'd tomorrow, am off for 3 days on a course next week, followed immediately by a 200 mile drive to Cheshire - wtf am I gonna do now .... :( F-all chance of getting parts in time and f-all chance of getting the time to fit them anyway - and that's assuming I can verify for certain the cause of the leak.
  7. Hmmm, over to Mike I think ....
  8. The online manual is surpising useful in these situations ! ;) http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/cl/005.gif

It could be the head gasket allowing oil to be pushed into the water but it doesn't look like it on that photo. First thing you need to do is get it filled up with water, bled properly with no airlocks and then find out where the leak is. Then get that sorted, flush the system through, (to get all the oxtail soup out! ;)), fill up with anti-freeze & water and see how it goes.
  10. A fascinating place with more history than most parts of the world ! http://www.cypnet.com/.ncyprus/history/ So just very briefly the inhabitants include :- Hittites, Egyptians, Greeks, Phonecians, Egyptians, Persians, Romans, Byzantians, Brits, Venetians, Ottomans, Brits, Cypriots(!), Greeks, Turks, Greeks & Turks ! ... and the future - who knows, but lets just hope they be nice to each other ! ;)
  11. Send away, offer is open to all. Please include all the details - a digi photo may be easiest.
  12. True but for the aggravation of a couple of digi photos and writing a letter I now have a K plate when I used to have a J - what would you do ?
  13. I'm not far away in Essex (close-ish to Stansted) if you have time to come down at the weekend.
  14. Had a similar problem with mine, but I got all the information together, and sent it to the DVLA along with a letter from Mike Feeney (as Tech Advisor to the UK Z Club) and they issued me a new plate.
  15. Hoping for the same on Friday .....
  16. Yeah, finally washed it on Sunday - now it's covered in shite again ... :( The Telephone Ombudsman, used to be called Oftel, now I think it's Otelo :- http://www.otelo.org.uk Will help you out in disputes with most fixed line and mobile companies.
  17. That is quite possible. The first Z I looked at was a UK spec yellow car which was registered on a N plate. I checked with Nissan (becuase I knew little about them at the time) and it turned out that the car was about No. 35 ever made ! But it had sat in a warehouse somewhere and not been registered until about 1995 or something.
  18. Call the Ombudsman.
  19. Which is what I said right ?
  20. Email/PM me the full details off your VIN plate and I'll look it up for you off the Nissan CD. I'll be able to tell you the month of manufacture (of your VIN plate at least ! LOL;))

Says the man with a motto of "Drive it like you stole it" ! :D LOL
  22. Just go in there and do it. I think the first time you visit as a subscribed member a directory is automatically created for you.
  23. But to be fair there is just a little bit of history before that. Cyprus has been a crossroads in the Mediteranean for thousands of years and has been occupied by many of the major civilisations in that time. The Greek/Turkish thing is just fresh in many memories.
  24. Yup, but not to your side !
  25. A mate of mine built a rear wheel drive Mk I Fiesta for auto crossing. He used a 2.1 pinto motor and it used to snap the halfshafts about every 20 mins !
