  1. There was a guy called Grant, who had a red Z that SE looked after. he had that from new, but it didn't have any body kit. Don't think Crazy Eddie had his from new, but there were quite a few red ones around SE at that time.
  2. Agree, pretty much 100%. Also, remember that viruses started on Macs when they used floppy disks as the transport medium. Macs are considerably more reliable nowadays, since OSX which is basically a pretty front end on top of Linux, prior to that their internal architecture was a mess to say the least. Anyway, I'm not a Mac fan (or a Macintrash as my colleagues in the US called them), as far as I'm concerned it's a triumph of form over function - or fashionware !
  3. Yep, payment was received - 2 mins and I'll update. Cheers.
  4. Yes, you can, but they are Nissan codes and not compatible with any reader, except Consult/ConZult etc of course ...
  5. I think the code readers only work on the ODB-II Engine Management interface. The Z32 has a proprietary system, until perhaps the 1996 model when I guess it may have become standard.
  6. Hi Vini, good to hear from you again.
  7. OK, so if someone can Xmas-up the logo, then I reckon we can swap them over for the remainder of the season - so come on image editing experts - have a go ....
  8. Sorted - it was something to do with my browser on my work machine ....
  9. I need to update this manually, but can't login right now - dunno why. If Kim or Pete could do this it would be appreciated. Thanks
  10. I don't recommend AVG any more due to a few recent problems, Avast has knocked it off the top for me. However, as mentioned the Microsoft Essentials seems fairly trouble free so far ....
  11. I would say yes, as long as it can't reflect badly on you. Ebay fees are a rip-off these days ... even more so since they now own Paypal and are double dipping on nearly every sale.
  12. I do it all the time, especially typing "becuase" (and that was genuine). Somewhat worse than that is many times when I type "Regards" at the end of an email, it comes out as "Retards" - that's gonna get me in trouble one day when I don't spot it in time ....
  13. Poll added, plus number ranges made more sensible, plus it's not an 'average' is it ! ;)
  14. Yes, in most cases I seem to remember that you can put the new units in the old housing and all should be fine.
  15. I posted this list a long time back ..... Gearbox Gear lever New leather gear lever boot + 2 rubber boots underneath Master cylinder Slave cylinder All hydraulic pipework Pedal box Flywheel Pressure plate Clutch disc Throw out bearing Front half of the propshaft The plate that sits between engine & gearbox Wiring loom for the reverse & neutral gearbox switches Wiring loom for the alternator Both clutch servo vacuum tanks + pipework I would also recommend replacing all the cheap rubber bits like dust seals and so on, plus the gear shift bush and the gearbox rear mount & prop centre bearing.
  16. Yes, I used 350Z callipers and discs. The discs bolt straight on, once you have modified the dust shields and the callipers need the hubs modifying. If you search back through my posts there will be pictures somewhere,
  17. Yeah, try removing and reseating them before you buy new ones.
  18. Cheeker fecker !
  19. Yes' it's another of those charity scrounging things ! Below is the standard guff from the Movember website. I’m actually doing this as part of a team from the local pub – There are 44 of us in total (even got our collective photo in the local paper), and we are doing this for six weeks, not just November, presumably because we realised just how feeble we all are at growing moustaches !!! Unfortunately, this also extends the embarrassment factor …. This isn’t the first of these emails I’ve sent out, I just thought I’d target a few groups of people, rather than everyone at once ! Thanks for any support and contributions. (and before you ask, yes, there is a dreadful, but hopefully soon to be improved photo, on the Mobember website - follow the link !) This Movember, the month formerly known as November I’ve decided to donate my face to raising awareness about prostate cancer. My donation and commitment is the growth of a moustache for the entire month of Movember, which I know will generate conversation, controversy and laughter. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. One man dies every hour from the disease in the UK. This is a cause that I feel passionately about and I’m asking you to support my efforts by making a donation to The Prostate Cancer Charity. To help, you can either: • Click this link http://uk.movember.com/donate/your-details/member_id/1150440/ and donate online using your credit card or PayPal account . Or, • Send cheques and CAF vouchers (made payable to ‘The Prostate Cancer Charity Re Movember’) directly to The Prostate Cancer Charity – First Floor, Cambridge House, Cambridge Grove, London W6 0LE. Be sure to include the person’s name on the back of the cheque. The Prostate Cancer Charity will use the money raised by Movember for the development of programs related to awareness, public education, advocacy, support of those affected, and research into the prevention, detection, treatment and cure of prostate cancer. For more details on how the funds raised from previous campaigns have been used and the impact Movember is having please visit http://uk.movemberfoundation.com/research-and-programs. Thank you in advance for helping me to support men’s health. Andy Pingram
  20. I have been to the World Trade Center four times. The first time it was closed due to a small fire. The second time it was closed due to a bomb scare. The third time I went up to the top (but it was too windy to go outside). The fourth time I looked down at an enormous empty crater !
  21. There are two versions of the Devin chip, the second, which is what people normally want, is a bit more aggressive than the other.
  22. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer !
  23. I didn't think they had any funding to fly that right now. Incidentally, when my old man was in the RAF he used to be an instrument technician on those ...
