The import and UK spec chassis numbers are different, different number of digits I think .... Can't remember for certain right now though.

Well I think it's easy, but there again I've done lots of them. Wouldn't recommend it unless you're well practiced with a soldering iron though. Where in Essex are you ?

Trouble is they're on 'FT' and loctite'd. I had to use a pair of mole grips and it wrecked the old gearknob. Didn't matter because I had a nice new Navan one though. ;)
