  1. I do dual switchable maps. The easiest thing for what you want is the 2nd map with low rev and speed limits. eg a 'valet mode'.
  2. Yes, don't see why not. Would be just like running on half throttle all the time ! :D
  3. I haven't seen mine back to back with John's or his back to back with JWT though.
  4. Will fix it for you matey ....
  5. A boost spike is basically caused by the delay in the wastegate reacting to control the boost when the change occurs very rapidly. Most basic control systems will suffer from this, but fast reacting electronic controllers are usually a little better.
  6. How about, "Don't take your car to Silverstone !"
  7. And the direct translation of Lego into English is "Play Well"
  8. No, Mike is on a Zed holiday for a while ...
  9. Think the bearing is close to £140, plus fitting.
  10. I have one from a turbo that will fit. It was in my manual for a while.
  11. Go to My Computer/Manage/Storage/Disk Management(local) and you should see the disk in there. You will be able to format it and assign a partition name, dive letter etc.

The mig tips are ok and to be honest 0.8mm is a bit small for most cars. 1.2 would be better. You could also get a boost controller with an in-built boost gauge (eg Blitz SBC-iD), then you can set a max level and know it won't go over.
  13. OK, I'm not confused, half my team work in that time zone. 51 weeks of the year it's a straight UK -5.
  14. Don't forget we are on GMT +1 at the moment. However, they are also probably on EDT, not EST right now ! Confused ....
  15. I do like to see a nice clean engine build.
  16. Disagree, if your eathing points are dirty and starting to corrode they will supplement the poor connections. Of course, you could track all these down and clean them but it's easier to bolt new ones on as well. However, I'd be pretty sceptical about them making any difference on cars just a couple of years old.
  17. Are we sure this is 1.3 bar and not 13psi ? Is there an accurate boost gauge ?
  18. The question is how many models of that exact type would subsequently be imported and would we ever recoup our investment ?
  19. No, they won't get wiped straight away.
  20. "I think I've got my nuts cross-threaded !"
  21. I had a car that used to do the disappearing trick with water and it turned out to be early signs of headgasket failure !
  22. Split or kinked or disconnected pipe to the boost sensors. Double check them.
