  5. I've not had any major problems in a year and a half of ownership, only slight little niggles here and there. Do the service myself, even me and me dad did the cam belt a few weeks back (just the cam belt, nothing else, no problem up to now (touch wood)) and try and sort other things myself. I'm very slowly upgrading bit by bit as I'm on a rather tight budget. Not sepent anywhere near £k's on it, well, only in fuel and oil  ;)
  6. All you have to do (I think) is mark where the prop lines up and when refitting, line up the marks and thats it unless someone can correct me
  7. Cheers Danny, lets hope no more code34 :hyper:
  8. Danny, I have just done another ECU check and got 55. Does that mean that I have no faults and the ECU has not detected any faults since the reset ? Also, how long does it take for the ECU to re-learn all parameters and get back to optimum performance ? CheerZ Paul
  9. Isn't that the left side
  10. -7 0 +7 is in millimeters of mecury on a j spec -14 0 +14 is in PSI on a uk and is the same just different measurements
  11. Cheers for that Dan, I re-checked again this morning when I got to work, still got 55. Will re-check again daily for the next few days. Does the ECU store code 34 if it detects DET sensor circuit fault even after switch off and on again, does the ECU store this fault even if it sorts itself ?
  12. Ah ha, I had the 'Dreaded CODE34' :headvswal Sunday and yesterday. I thought SH!T £ £ £ £ £. So I reset the ECU and retested no change, still CODE34. Cleaned DET sensor connectors, no change. Thought, right, lets look at this properly. Checked the DET sensor with multimeter got about 1.2Mohm accross it to GND, thats fine. Checked wiring to ECU with multimeter accross the two pins and go 500Kohm, thats fine. Cleaned connector again and applied a little silicone grease to protect it from water. My connector is all cracked and will not latch together properly so I had to hold the connector together with a cable tie. Reset ECU again for an hour and a half. Ran the car for 1 minute, switched off, turned ignition on, did ECU test and got, oh yes CODE 55. :hyper: Sorted. Try the above and see what happens guys. CheerZ Paul

  14. Standard boost guage is cr@p, get an aftermarket one to be sure of the boost
  15. Do an ECU test before you look into getting another engine, it will more than likley and dodgey connector or PTU as said above
  16. It wont be the engine thats dead, it WILL deffo be an iffy electrical connector or something somwhere, all you gotta do now is find the damn thing. Do an ECU diag, good luck mate
  17. I left the flimsy metal part in as I thought that was part of the reflector. Plus I don't have a stilsen, but do have a soldering iron on my bench at work as I'm an electronics technician. Anyhow, however you do it, it looks 100 times better than stock ! :hyper:
