  1. Firstly I'd clean all the connectors I can find
  2. Try adjusting the clutch pedal first, that was the problem with mine
  3. I have stock coolin and the temp very rarly goes over about 81
  4. Could be prop bearing ! Mine does it from around 40 to 70 mph
  5. On the edge of the front bumper !
  6. Sounds like MAF, check your connector for green sh!t, clean and refit
  7. Huh, sorry John, you got me I got the freeware conzult and there is a section on that that (I think) disconnects the idle valve (is that the AIV) then set base idle. How do I ensure hard idle switch is on ? Do I do base idle first then TPS or the other way around ?
  8. OK, I know you have to disconnect the idle valve to set the base idle. Do you set this to about 750RPM on a TT. Then, when I come to set the TPS do I reconnect the idle valve or does it not matter ? TPS voltage should be around 0.42v - 0.45v, is that right ? BTW I have the freeware conzult downloaded so should make life a little easier
  9. Have you tried the resolution yet, I had a cheap(ish) card and did get both working at the same time by adjusting the resolution
  10. Might it be because the monitor resolution is to high for tv out, had a simlar prob some time back, I can't remeber what the resolution needs to be. Or am I talkin bowlex ??
  11. CheerZ lads, I must have dialed wrong first time :slap:
  12. Anyone know Mike's phone number, I've rang the one in his sig but it's wrong ?
  13. You just need clear side repeaters now ;)
  14. Is that what is called Tony 'Steering Knuckle' or UJ ? BTW, was your Z all over the shop before you changed it ?
  15. CheerZ Tony, is this a common problem on the Z, my steering as all over the shop and i'm constantly correcting just to go straight, tramlining quite badly. Sometimes have to hold the wheel left or right just to go straight :headvswal How much play is acceptable or should it be none. Also, where would I get the UJ from, Nissan main stealer ?
  16. No tony, I have just got stock rods with poly bushes mate, but will gave everythin a goos spray with lube !
  17. Hi people, I found out yesterday that I have slack in the UJ in the picture attached. How much would one of these cost and either get replaced or replace myself. Could there be anything else amiss ? Also, some time ago I replaced the shox with good stock second hand ones and now, after some time of them being fitted, I'm getting some clunking sounds from both sides but more on the drivers side. The sound is difficult to explain but it soulds like the thread of a bolt rubbing against some metal ! I have had a 'quick' visual inspection and all bolts/nuts appear tight. What I didn't do was refit the small orange gaskets on top of the front struts as they were both sh4gged ! Oh yes, I have also replaced the tension rods with poly bushes already fitted if that makes any difference Any ideas please ?
  18. best you can get apparently from that user id
  19. After busting my new aftermarket oil pressure sender, I'm after a replacement It's spec is 1/8NPT 27TPI 0 - 100 PSI 160ohm anyone know where I can get one and how much ? CheerZ
  20. Looking at this :- http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=ma&dir=&config=&refresh=&slide=10&cycle=off&scale=0&design=default&total=33 and with mine being a jspec, would I go for the lower amount on the gearbox (2.8l) and diff (1.5l) ? CheerZ Paul
  21. Errm, sorry to hijack, but I did this and (I think) some part of the steering knocked the sender off leaving my car pi55ing oil all over my work car park. I was lucky to get to work I reckon, 10 miles, would have been a bitch if it had come off on motorway. Help peeps, what did I do wrong, I also need a new sender as the old one is well and truly fooked :headvswal :headvswal
