Mac - I am indeed in the AA. That's how I got home 2 weeks ago when the clutch went on the A329M, nearly 90 miles away from home.... Oh that was a sad sight, seeing my Zed being towed on the back of a lorry... :( I have pictures, in fact, because yes, I AM that sad. :D:D

Roughly how many litres would be needed to do the Zed? I'm not talking a strip & dip here, much though I would like that - just a re-spray.

I have every excuse at the moment, Mac. ;) My Zed won't move a single solitary millimetre, let alone a number of miles. Well, not without being towed, anyway. :( The Nissan flip is what? Blue/purple? Not the nasty orangey-colour, I hope... :)

Not checked the link, but that's entirely possible in the US... On TT.net, you often see 16 year olds with their Zeds... :)

Where's he based, Andy? The Zed is usually located in Bedfordshire, whereas I'm in Worcester, most of the time, so either place could be utilised. :)

Yes, that price is from Nelson. The other parts were...£40 odd and £19.60 for the whole shebang, IIRC. Am wondering about an uprated clutch and whether to purchase it and get Nelson to fit it, as I seriously don't have the time or inclination, TBH, or whether to try to get Nelson to order in a different one....

Marble-luss...the cover at £177 + VAT or whatever it was that would have to be on Back Order from Japan... Thooper. :D Still...that's another thing....ONLY £177....for a Zed part....I'm shocked...that's the same price as a headlight bulb! ;)

Cheers Paul - did that on Sunday and it would seem to be covered...although at present, I am not convinced that it is the clutch as it does seem remarkably odd just to die like that, with no noise or clunking or notice whatsoever. But thanks. :D

My Zed's dead atm...but would be interested in the upgrade for when she is back on the road. As long as that doesn't include someone strapped to the bonnet holding a Maglite. :D

Is that a hu-owg job, Jeff? Have spoken to Nissan yesterday and they advise that to replace the clutch would be a 6 hour job...is the rear seal easier / quicker or is it still akin to wall-papering your hallway through your letterbox? Let me guess, to repair the clutch you have to remove the "Z" from the centre of the steering wheel and operate through that? ;) ;)

Well, looks like that time has come... Might be able to get it done under the Warranty, which would be my ideal solution as it means that I don't pay for anything. :D Depending on how much it costs, of course... :( Smiffy - I'll mail / text you my moby number....might be needing to talk to you in the not-so distant future...
