  4. yes it was defo on properly cos i could feel th pressure when i turned it open to test it, obviously i didnt open it
  5. so does that mean my cap aint working as it should andy or maybe the overflow reservoir is blocked up?
  6. well its a pretty new rad, only been in for about 10000 miles, you reckeon its working as it should or do i need a new cap?
  7. took the car out yesterday on short trip to pick my brother up from college and th weather was really nice, a lot warmer than it has been for ages. after parking up i went out to fix a wobbly passenger mirror and noticed there was a small stream of liquid coming from under the car. had a peek underneath and the leak had definatetly stopped and it looked like it was under the radiator. so popped up the bonnet and saw that the top of the rad were the cap goes was all wet, cap was screwed on. is this supposed to happen? i really dont have the foggiest yaseen ps. fixed th wobbly mirror, the metal plate that the screws went into had cracked apart so just superglue gelled it backed together n its fixed! screws were a bitch to get back in tho

  14. hey tony, sorry to hear about the problem, hope they can sort it. so what do you do at cummins? i would have liked to work their cos its close to home but i dnt mind working for holset for a year, hopefully il get to learn alot while im there
  15. switched the car on this morning to park it on the curb so the alarm fitters could work on it and there was a quite loud ticking from the engine bay. these things always seem to magically happen overnight cos i took it out yesterday night n it was running fine! the ticking speeds up as the revs increase but when i lift the bonnet i cant make out where its coming from cos th engine is louder than the ticking. took it to the bank and it kinda quietens down after a bit of a drive but il have to check again later to make sure. any ideas? yaseen

  19. thinking about it your absolutely right about that stuart what is tram lining?
  20. these cars just dont give up do they! so i sorted the hose that had come disconnected thanks to you guys but my idle is getting really bad, symptoms: - when the car comes to a stop the revs drop reaaaally low (sometimes less than 400) and most of the time the engine just about stays alive - sometimes it stalls so now iv got into th habit of sticking it in neutral before i stop which i shouldnt have to do cos its a bloody auto - after dropping, the revs rise again but hunt around a bit before finding the magic 700 - even after settling at 700 it sometimes jumps around a little then settles for a while, then jumps and settles etc.... do i just need to do a lot of cleaning? berks thought it might be intake and throttle bodys full of crap. what else could it be? yaseen
