HDMI connection
Problem with the screen is on my TV, all the edges are missing. I think it might be down to my PC screen being a normal 4:3 ration and my TV being widescreen and I have it as cloned rather than dual view, as I want it to just be exactly the same on both screens. Got the sound to work through the normnal TV speakers but not through my surround sound which is connected to the TV via scart

HDMI connection
Hi, My new PC main board (Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H) has a HDMI connector on the back panel. Should I be able to just plug a cable into that and then into my TV and get my PC screen on my TV? I've tried it and get nothing :( Vijay

Where to place the axle stands?
Dave, if you look at the link I put for the online manual, it shows the place you can put the stands and you still have access to the bolts for the subframe :)

FAO dog walkers
Alan, I use a pinch collar too on my GSD which I use for afternoon walk or any longer walks. It might look painfull but the thing is, they soon realise if they pull it hurts (for s split second), if they walk nicely it does nothing. What I did was if Kassy pulled, I would make a sharp "AH" noise and then a quick pull on the lead, now as soon as I say "AH" she knows what happens next if she doesn't come back to my side ;) If you have a big dog it just gives you control ;) Vijay

Speedo ?
he has US dials on those! If you have UK clocks, you will need to get UK dials for it to be calibrated properly. Problem is UK dials will have the cut out for the bosst gauge as there were no UK na's.

If anyone spots a blue metallic punto with a bitch driving in it...
Perfectly legal to leave the scene of an accident but then they have to report the accident to a Police station within 24 hours. Afraid all she has to say it she didn't see the tyre so wasn't aware that it had bounce up and it's her word against yours, not sure what the Police can do :( It's crap and she should be ashamed of gerself dor driving off but the main thing is you're alright ;) I once had a pallet come off a waste truck and hit the front of my Z on the M1, then the next day the company totally denied they were there and knew nothing about it. Luckily I chased the driver down at the time and got his details which he had written on the company headed paper. It just annoyed me that they would try and get out of it!

Starter motor grinding, can't start
Pretty common for the bolt to work loose or worse for the thread to have stripped. Do a search and you'll find plenty of posts about it. Basically you end up having to tap out the hole with the next size up with I think is M12 and use a larger bolt. Vijay

Urgent - Immobiliser/Alarm help
Thing is you may only see actual quailty of work when things go wrong or you rip out an alarm. Make sure you ask who ever does it, how they intend to splice into looms, how they make connections (solder), will they replace broken clips etc and an idea of how long they think it will take them (any short time, you should walk away). I've only had 2 alarms done by approved installers and in my eyes they were both a joke!!! 1 I took out of a car and the other 1 (on my z) I intend to reinstall. Vijay
