there's a little tiny spring in there that's probably snapped. You can easily replace the spring once you have a spare barrel ;)

why not just get some PVC plastic tubing, the type you can get in B&Q. Put it over the end of a nozzle or use a hair dryer to stretch it over the threaded end.

HDMI connection
I've disconnected it cos evertime the PC comes back from screensaver, it switches the TV channel!!!!!!!!!! Totally right, there's an option to change the sound to HDMI but it cuts the sound to the PC speakers :( The option to copy the screen (cloned) is on but still cuts the edges

I'll just go back to the old way which was to split the 3.5mm jack into 2 out of the soundcard, one to the PC speakers and one to the surround sound amp of my TV. Might contact Panasonic as there must be a way of doing it. I have a camera on my front door connected to the TV and the surround amp picks up the sound from that (all conected by scart)
