  2. Hi Iain, Cos the ones Bob supplies are from the "Tracker" companies who ask for subscription, I was just offering what I intend to purchase for myself. The last thing I would intend to do is take business away from Bob. Vijay
  3. Hi Eric, Bix, Yes you will have no problems running this unit anywhere in Europe. The European maps are an extra £25 (Eric, you will just need 1 copy ;) ). The only thing you would have to do is get the sim card from your own providers (just buy the cheapest pay as you go sim card). Vijay
  4. Hi, If you press the link on my first post, there is a picture of it on the top right. That is the actual control unit and the GPS receiver is a small unit (2"x2") with a lead that plus into the control unit - that's it, nice and simple. Some Q&A's: On the Key features specification it says that it is dual band and then later it under the specification, it says that it has a tri-band modem, which is correct?. It is actually dual-band. They were going to make them tri-band but then realised they didn't have the maps for USA so there was no point! What is the additional cost of the high sensitive GPS unit? £25 What does it cost to call the sim card number from a BT land line? To find the current location of the unit the call duration will be less than 30 secs. Cost depends on who's SIM card you are using, is it on friends and family etc etc How is the geo-fencing enabled and what does it do if the car is moved, send a text? Will it alert you if the unit itself is being tampered with? GeoFencing is enabled from the mapping software supplied with it. You can set it to alert if the vehicle goes out of the fenced area or into it. It only sends an alert if it goes crosses the boundary. You can use one of the two digital inputs to send you an alert if the vehicle is tampered with. Put 12v into it from anything and it'll send an alert

I asked my mechanic on opinions and he recomended sticking to a Ford as they're easy to get parts/wrok on. In the end I bought a 92 Ford Sierra estate Ghia for £500. Had it for about 6 months now and not a problem with it. Vijay

  20. Hi Tom, My advice to you would be to clean the throttle bodies, then the IACV valve, then clean all the connectors you can get to. While you're doing all that, remove the negative connection on your battery to give the ecu time to reset. Vijay

I rang customs and asked why the hell I have to pay tax on a present from my brother and was told even presents over the value of £36 are taxed - nice people eh?? I hope you do get away with it ;) Vijay
