  1. Well done Gaz that's pretty quick.
  2. No change on the Zed mate, will prob start with a jump but needs quite a bit of work mate. Seats are shagged and need to get under her to see if the water has done any lasting damage!
  3. Sounds good to me Steve, best start sorting the Zed out instead of mucking about sorting the BMW and house DIY haha.
  4. Cheers mate I'll have a look tomorrow.
  5. Cheers Gaz I'll have a look. I was lead to believe they were elasticacted straps. Probably read it wrong.
  6. I know what your saying about the mirrors but the standards are simply horrendous! Look like they were styled by the Volvo design team of the 1970's. I want to keep it all OEM parts too. Been looking at the M50 manifold conversion, will do a large throttle body conversion with it and also looking at US spec M3 cams with M3 manifolds too. Want to get it mechanically sound and looking right before power mods.
  7. Nice Gaz, how's your roof? Mine needs a little work. Tension straps need doing as the cover catches on the roof and the fabric round the rear window needs looking at, got any ideas of places to get bits as I'm finding that bimmerforums ain't all that.
  8. F*ckers mate, RnR cant come soon enough by the sounds of it, enjoy it if I dont speak to you before hand mate.
  9. Haha could say that Trev, didn't cost all of it by a long way mate. Hows life in LKG?
  10. Hi guys, Was originally looking for a Techno Violet car but this came up and was the spec (apart from colour) I Wanted, picked it up last week. I've fitted a stubby aerial and the German style plates and surrounds, as well as giving it a decent clean. Plans are to get it serviced (booked into Eden Motors Yeovil) and looking at getting some coilovers as I think she's sitting a little high. The mirrors will be replaced with some genuine M3 items. Other things are just replacement of broken clips and trims etc. Enjoy the pics, Rob - - - Updated - - - By the way its a 1999 323I.
  11. Yeah sorry Trev, I got threaders and done one haha. Left there late Monday night mate.
  12. Well as I got back from Afghanistan on Wednesday I thought I should re-sub, and I did. That is all.
  13. Whats the drama with re-tapping alloy? I have a powdercoated plenum that needs the threads cleaning out.
  14. Carrying on the military theme.
  15. We have been flying over the sight a lot since and the hole in the ground is massive, around 5 feet deep and has blown the tarmac away on both sides of the road. The blast lifted the Mastiff and threw it about 30 feet away. There was a lot of explosive used, the vehicle can only cope with so much. Its not nice when something like that happens out here, especially as its been a lot better in terms of deaths this year. I will be going to the vigil service next week, least i can do.

  19. Good effort mate, I'm out on Herrick again at the mo. Have to catch up when I'm back. Next posting is looking like Middle Wallop or the ATR in Winchester.

  21. Looked a good day out mate, nice pics too. Hopefully I'll be able to make the next one.
