  1. I know what you mean mate, the value of the receipts were amazing, it clearly didn't want for anything. I think the guy you sold it to didn't keep it up, hence why I paid the price i did (£2000). I got her looking really good and then the water thing happened!
  2. A lot of her lives on mate, my new Zed has a lot of bits in her and I sold a lot of bits so was pleased she may have kept others alive. A few good cars for sale on here at the moment mate, def worth a look. Where a bouts are you? Still got all the paperwork for the red car somewhere
  3. Was a shame mate, I loved that car. The sills went the winter after I bought it but had them done, it wasn't in the best condition when I got her but I slowly got her in good shape. Here's the thread with pics. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?124186
  4. I bought her from a lad near Oxford in 2008. Unfortunately she is not here anymore. She got flooded to just below the door handles. Have a look through my old threads and there's some pics. Ignore the plate, she had British forces Germany plates on her.
  5. I've just bought some JECS 600cc side feeds. If you have an early car you will need the kit from Z1 so they fit the early fuel rail and change the connectors on the engine harness.
  6. Job done, as dan said patience is key. I did each bit as I removed the old one so I didn't miss any connectors. The only drama I had is trying to run the new maf cable in it's originaL place, I'm still trying lol. As I have a USA loom there is extra connectors and it's a different size but with a bit of fettling it will be fine. Give me a shout if you have any more questions mate
  7. Those straps ain't gonna do much
  8. I am mate, live in Yeovil now
  9. Oops, you gonna make it to JapFest hop along haha
  10. Found the problem mate. There is 2 air con pipes that run through the bulkhead into the box. These need to be undone and hopefully the box should come out. Cracking on with it later, I'll let you know any other tips when it's done
  11. Mines with USPS. How do you go about paying the fees to speed it up? Waiting on it to do some jobs
  12. Right then, as I need to disconnect some air con pipes to remove the cooling unit under the dash I'm going to remove everything else hopefully including the compressor tomorrow. Is there anything I need to know before cracking on with it? Cheers
  13. It's probably with mine mate! Been there 4 days now
  14. Hi guys, I'm replacing the engine loom so I've removed the glovebox and need to remove the above part to get easy access to the loom retaining bracket on the bulkhead. Looking at the service manual I need to undo 2 pipes that run into the back of the cooling unit, I'm assuming I will need to drain the system, where is the drain point on the car? I will be deleting the air con anyway so I'm assuming I won't have to put the pipes or the cooling unit back after the loom.
  15. That's a right shitter mate. Know how you feel as I felt the same after writing off my 350Z. Enjoy the MR2
  16. Doing this job now but the air con box doesn't want to come out. I've removed the bolts along the bottom but seems to be stuck top right hand side. Is there a hidden bolt or do I just need to tug it a bit more
  17. Plenum water bypass and replace any of the vac lines with new hoses. Check all the fuel lines under there and replace as necessary. Could also delete the EGR system There is info in the FAQ section. Doing the same job next week and will be doing all that.
  18. The Harrier was rare, a modified car mag modded one as a feature car back in the late 90's. Cant remember which one tho
  19. I can't wait. Looking at the list the stand is gonna be massive LOL
  20. Dunno mate but I had one 10 years ago. It was sodding awesome haha
  21. Sod it stick me down for one. How hard can it be to wire in a switch !!!!!!!!!
  22. Like the idea, its something I've wanted for a while. However I don't like the thought of the mirrors being in even if i don't want them in.
  23. Haha that's crazy, yeah it was mine. Small world mate
  24. Cheers Jeff, the link boldy posted up has some pics of the bracket and what to remove. Feeling a lot more confident about it now.
  25. Spoke to Gaz the other day, said he was busy, told me his news, not good. Easter weekend ain't good for me, the wife is due then haha. May crack the loom tomorrow or next weekend. Got a lot of work to do to it before JapFest mate.
