does anyone else have 'sony' rear speakers as standard????? they sound ok, my fronts are crap tho

are those sony jobbies in the boot only 8watt???? I have 'sony made for nissan' written on mine

I carried on using mine. I was insured and MOT'd so F**ck it. You can't possibly get tax so they can't say alot. At the end of the day you can backdate tax to the beginning of the month (and you have to) so, if you tax it on the 29th of june, the 'start date' is 1st June, so you've paid tax from the 1st of June so why not bloody use it. No judge in the world would really agree you are in the wrong. What if it was your only car and you have to get to work ? Do it, get caught, take a slap on the wrist, blag your way out of it and don't do it again.

if you want LOUD - 6x9's. if you want GOOD QUALITY SOUND (and can be loud too if you spend the money) then get components and set them up properly.. HTH Tony

Putting a parent on the insurance as a named driver brings it down alot too - I'm the main driver, and my mother a named driver. she might drive it one day if her car breaks, but probably not. but it knocks 100's off the cost of insurance.

Admiral. When searching for car insurance before buying I was gettin quotes of between 800-1300 for a N/A import. (even elephant, who are the same people as admiral) but for some reason admiral like me. lol I've double checked all the details and its all correct happy days

Paypal are crap. I ordered 2 12" sub boxes (heavy) - they sent the wrong size (wasn't even 10" because the holes were too big for 10") so the subs wouldn#t fit, Seller said they would send a courier to pick them up.. never did, so i went through paypal, after 40 days, eventually agreed i was right, offered a refund ONLY if i sent them back. all in all, after spending another £20 to send them back I woulda only got pennies in refund, so i didn't bother, I still woulda lost money buying from a dodgy seller. I dont think this is right and paypal 'buyer protection' is a load of crap. Thats what I think anyway...

coopers: where did you get the black vinyl from to finish it off?

In regard to the original question, do the calcluations and find out the volume your box is supposed to be. I just worked mine out, the volume for a 12"JBL GTO1202D in a sealed box is supposed to be 28.32 liters, the box we made is approx 26.1 liters, not too far off. We had to cut off a couple of corners to make it fit, but before that it woulda been 29.55 liters, so actually pretty close. Do the math and see what you come out with. Tony

the weathers been great! I'm poppin home in a min to pick up the 300 and the roof will NOT be on :) Just quickly calculated the displacement of my first box , its actually pretty close, going to get an accurate measurement in a min, just calculating all the bits up..
