Was following a AMG kitted black Merc clk the other day, was a group of girlies walking towards me, didn't look at the Merc, but pointed at the z! ;) Was driving through Billing @ the show, when some guy stopped me so he could take a pic of my car, was well chuffed, considering all the other cars that were there! It seems everybody likes my z, except my mrs, ''it's too loud & it gives me a headache!''

Why you selling up, Getting another Z?

There was a nice yellow Espirit in my local Auto trader, last week i think. About £17k? Reckoned 170mph+!! How much will the Z be up for?

A mate of mine ordered a model golf from them, was delivered within a week!! I'll be ordering the ''make it yourself zed'' & painting it yellow! :hyper:

Been told that you can't get 80w H3 bulbs! :confused: Some guy in the local motorist shop says you can modify H1 bulbs to fit & they are available in 80w. Will probably opt for the phillips/osram jobbies though! Cheerz Richard Smith :bow:

The ''black bits'' are your rubber seals crumbling away, it will keep doing this until you have no seals!! I use a toothbrush on mine, in the panel gaps, ariel holder, r'ber seals etc.. takes a while but looks good when finished! Only use a jetwash on your wheels, nothing else. Don't rely on water pressure to clean your car. :dance:

Is it still a 55w bulb? Somewhere on this forum is a mod to upgrade the h'lights, same as you've done with the extra wire. Now you can fit 100w bulbs as they are readily available in the uk. Have done this to mine, but 100w seem a bit to much, starts affecting the tickover (uses too much power), gonna order some 80w bulbs instead.

Is there another jap meet at Reading? Was told 2nd tues of every month, is this right? That'll be march 9th then? Is anybody going...........if it's on that is! :confused:

Yeah, he seems to be one of the ''good guys''! E-mailed him last week to see if i could get hold of the original jap No plates, sadly, they are removed at de-registration in japan. Got everything else with the car....auction pics, jap history, original key etc...original plates would've completed it! He said he's in Sweden at the moment, importing/exporting out there! His bruv is running it in the uk.

Did the car stop? My cat got run over a few yrs back, f*cker left him to die! Didn't realise till a week later, was a pic of him in the local rag ''Whose cat is this, left for dead at side of road'' Well blow me down........it was my cat!! He had a bust pelvis, ribs etc...had to spend 6wks in a cage! About 3mths later, he dissapeared, haven't seen him since. That was about 8yrs ago! Your cat should be fine James, just keep an eye on it! ;)

Surely if it's cat-back, then you're only losing the pipe that joins the back boxes to the cat by replacing just the b'boxes? As long as the bore/diameter of the two pipes is the same, it should be ok..........i think! :confused:

I upgraded mine at this point, used some jbl speakers (can't remember which),but had to do some cutting to get 'em to fit, sounds much better than the standard ones. Bit annoying that you have to remove the whole doorcard to get to 'em, would've thought that the speaker cover would come off to gain access! :confused:

Onto the matter in hand, same symptoms as Beermonster, carpets dry, no coolant loss etc.....probably is the cold weather, don't remember it happening in the summer, then again i didn't need to use the heating in the summer!

Got an auto tt z, when i get in the car & turn the heater on, the w'screen immediately mists up, taking 20secs or so to eventually clear, why is this? This only happens when the engine has been previously warmed up, not 1st thing in the morning.

O'D button basically changes it to a 3spd ox, as opposed to a 4spd. Good for ''urban'' driving. I've got an auto tt z, was considering a g'box conversion, till i had a go in a manwell, little or no difference in power. So i'll keep the cash spend it on optimax instead! :D As before.....find a good z and buy it, whether it's an auto or not!

Yep, i'll second that :bow: Mines only single exit though, just can't bring myself to spend £700 on a twin exit one!

Is this what Baggin's was talking about at the last Reading meet? Herman, will you have yours done b4 the next meet (march 9th,i think!). Would be good to see what difference it makes.
