Have seen those z's live, very impressive! They don't mention anything about the hours & £'s of maintenance though! They've been using z's for a few yrs now, had bmw's before.

I wouldn't commit to anything involving money until it's been properly diagnosed with big-end failure, he's probably driven it around all day, realised how thirsty it is and decided he wants his money back! Can you remember the mileage when you sold it? See how many it's done till the big-ends ''went''. Did the guy knock the price down a lot, seems cheap. As before: You aren't liable for this, its up to him to get it properly checked out beforehand, thats why people pay more from a garage....peace of mind/waranty.....apparantly! Good luck mate.

Down load some plans pete, when you buy the timber, go to a timber yard, not B&Q, it'll be cheaper & better quality. Go for a plywood floor, not the usual chipboard shite. If it's going onto a concrete base, put a dpc under any timbers that come into contact with it.
