the council wanted me to pull this down (fao baz)
What he said. It now needs to comply with all sorts of regulations. I can understand the fibreboard ceilings (fire hazard), but the floor tiles look ok, no more slippy than vinyl tiles when wet? Can you not underdraw the ceiling with a suspended ceiling and leave the original intact above it? Perhaps fit a non slip vinyl sheet on the floor, over the tiles. I'll bet that place is full of asbestos too.

bar the zed's
Yep, they can be a bit tail happy in the wet, mainly when you 'let off' half way round a corner, the weight shifts away from the wheels and as if by magic you are facing the opposite way round! Great in the dry though..:thumbup1:

vinyl car wraps
Saw this the other day http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2152064.htm i guess the vinyl wrap is more common than i thought, i'd never heard of it before now. Look like a good job, i'd imagine the bodywork would have to be pretty much spotless for it to work properly, and would be affected by ultra violet rays quite badly too.

350Z better than a 370Z?
Both the MD's at the company i used to work for had 350's then 370's, they both say the 370 is a far better drivers car. Have been in a 350 and was not overwhelmed by the performance, my mr2 turbo would stay with it easily. When all is said and done, neither of them look as good as a 300zx.

mg zs 180 should i buy????
I'd take a punt on the rover, would do the head gasket test first though along with a hpi check. Underrated cars, people remember them from when they were Leyland rubbish, not so anymore. I've had a rover 25 tdi for 2 yrs now, done around 40k, not missed a beat. Looks a bargain for £600!

Winter coming........Car cover?
I got one of the halfords covers, cost £50 for the small size (mr2), fits a treat. Had around 3 days of non stop rain recently, took the cover off a day or so later, car was as dry as a bone, no water at all had got through it. They have buckles to fasten under the car, elastic edges etc. Can thoroughly recommend one, reckon you'd be after a large size for the Z.

Audi tt/ boxtser / S2000.
I have no experience with either, but i'd go for the Honda. See Boxters & TT's everywhere, not so many S2000's.

Sick to death of scams
Yep, and it was £110 too, not £150. ****ers.

bike all sorted
If any of you are after some bike lights, have a look at these.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150440339821&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Mine were delivered today, well worth the money. Anything with this sort of power would be £40+ in this country. Been out for a ride tonight to test it out, and while it isn't really upto off roading, it'll be ok for gentle trails etc, perfect for the road. The rear light is pretty bright too.

Fairplay Alan, it's a very addictive and expensive hobby! After around 6months you'll start getting the fitness together, then you can start enjoying yourself and not worrying about hills etc.. I used to dread any sort of incline when i first started, now most of them aren't even hills anymore, just a necessary evil... every uphill brings a downhill..:cool3: I ride around 3-4 times a week, usually 20-25 mile loops around the ridgeway, theres a gang of us go out late at night with big lights... Thats a different world altogether, downhilling in the dark through the trees is something everyone should try!

oooh, me legs are aching
Heres a good cheap helmet, got one myself.. http://www.woollyhatshop.com/Helmets/Universal-Fitting-Helmets/Bell-Ukon-Sport-Mountain-Bike-Helmet-TITANIUM/prod_320.html Can recommend these tyres too, not completely slick, but very fast rolling & light.. http://www.shinybikes.com/bikes/michelin-country-dry-2-rigid-mtb-tyre.html Also, if your staying on the road, pump them up as much as you can.
