Boost Jets vs. Electronic Boost COntroller
IIRC, an electronic controller will override the safety boost feature, hence no safety boost if needed. With jets you obviously still have the safety boost feature. Plus...As Royal said.....get a boost gauge......now!

Just passed test, young driver! Insurance?
Sell the r5, & get a r21 turbo.(thats if u can find one!) You'll get more for the r5 than the r21 will cost! They'll be cheaper on insurance as they're classed as 'family saloons', having 4 doors and all. And a whole lot quicker too.

ummm....
The corvette rear looks nice.. imo. It's just the front that looks awful, shame really, it would be a nice z with a stock front.

radio iso
iirc, audrey will need to be wired in 'normally', dont think the japs used an iso block tbh. Audrey will also need an adapter for the aerial plug, approx £10 - £14, any good motor factor should stock one of these.

yellow zeds
Pearl yellow (eh7) was only available in 90/91, so anything newer than a h-reg has been resprayed. Have seen a few k-plates advertised as pearl yellow? It is (IMO) the best colour for a z, really shows the lines to maximum effect. I had one, but sold it to 'wheelman' from this forum. Heres a pic...

hicas light and filling with pas fluid
Nope, the hicas is 4ws, although very slight, you will hardly notice it at all. the series one z had the hicas running from the pas pump, the series 2 had it running electronically. It is quite common to replace the hicas with a solid rear axle. HTH...Simon

Old Car Pics...
lol, that was quick! Was actually a 99 suzuki rm250. Photo taken circa summer '01. Originally swapped it for a 99 yz 125, just couldn't get the hang of riding a 125! Later found out that the suzuki previously belonged to Matt Bates (planit promotions) a former british championship runner, needless to say it was 'slightly' tuned!' I was like a 'shirt on a washing line on a windy day', every time i opened it up! :D
