Made some good reading, sadly that is most peoples opinion of the 300zx i'm afraid, they only hear about the people who have bad experiences with them, the people with good z's don't go around telling everyone about them. I wonder who 'nick-o-larse' is?.... :)

Just an update for you all... She is still alive, apparantly she was 'put' into a coma at hospital, she has since been brought out of it, but keeps going into shock, i've heard a lot of local rumours that she has lost hands, ears etc, but as far as i know she hasn't. He took an almighty beating while on remand, a very savage one allegedly, and to put the icing on the cake, i heard tonight that he hung himself in prison earlier, how true that is i don't know, be a shame if he hasn't though, would save us taxpayers a few quid. I recently started a new job as a maintenance surveyor for the local housing association, anyway, i had to go to the property today, it is now a void as the kids don't want to live there anymore (understandably), was not a nice place to be, there's still a lot of evidence of what went on there, quite spooky really. :(

I agree with most of the above, once the novelty has worn off, you'd soon get fed up with it. Does look good though!

Good luck mate, i've often thought about starting my own valeting buisness too, thing is, i'd spend so long on each car, i'd never make any money, or i'd have to charge ridiculous amounts of money just to cover my time. Most people are happy letting the goons in tesco carpark wash their car with a gritty rag while they're shopping. I mopped a shogun a while back for a guy who's mrs was letting the tesco guys wash theirs, it was truly appauling to say the least.

I don't do weights etc, but i do a lot of mountainbiking, been to a lot of places, wales, forest of dean etc... The buzz i get while riding some fast singletrack is intense, real tunnel vision type stuff, and to top it all off.... it's good for you. I used to race motocross, and i have to say the buzz is on a par with that, sadly... it's almost as expensive too! Anyone who has experienced it will know what i'm on about, there's a few ex members from here i keep in touch with who are well into their bikes too. It's a social thing as well as a good way of keeping fit.

Thats either not a genuine pearl yellow, or it's not an L-reg. Pearl yellow was only available in 1990 iirc (eh7 paint code). IMO it's the best colour for a z, looks luvvverley...... A good excuse to put up a pic of my old one....:)

I used to have a v6 sri, '97. I'm sorry to say it was the worst car i've ever had, and i've owned some real sheds! When it ran, it was lovely, but you just couldn't trust it to get you anywhere, it just went from one breakdown to the next. Hope you have better luck with yours than i did!

Can't recommend anything local to you, but we went 12 bore shooting, crossbow's & archery. That was a good laugh, bit cold though!

Glad it's being sorted bud, it's gutting to say the least! Took about 10 days to refund mine. The woman on the phone at the fraud dept asked if i ever used the 'pay at the pump', i said no, thats good she said, she wouldn't divulge any more info, but there's a woman at work who used to be a copper, i spoke to her about it, she said the pay at the pump is notorious for being cloned/scammed/skimmed whatever you call it! Apparantly 'cash back' is probably the safest way of drawing money.

The supermarket will begin with 'T'. Had mine done last month, took £1300 from my account! Only just had it refunded by nationwide, was a flex account debit card, not a credit card. £800 was spent on one site, ordering hoodies etc. Asked the fraud dept if it would be looked into, as obviously the items must've been sent to an address, 'probably not' they said!

I've had both, actually still got the mr2. So i'll try and give you some first hand experience... If you buy one thats been tuned enough to outrun a z, then the running costs will be horrendous! An mr2 is about acceleration & driveability, sure it will outrun a z upto around 80-100mph, then the z will just sail past it, depends what you class as being 'faster than a z'. The 'book speed' for an mr2 turbo is 149mph, 0-60 5.9sec, as you can see, they are no slouch! Although i've never met anyone who's done 150mph in one yet, anything above 110-120 and things start getting scarey! Why people keep comparing an mr2 & a z is beyond me, they are two completely different cars. If running costs are your priority, then maybe a z tt isn't for you, maybe an n/a z? The mr2 turbo is reasonably good on fuel, 29mpg'ish... Whichever you choose to buy, make sure you do your homework and get a good one, both are great cars, but both can be money pits if you buy a lemon. If you want any more info on mr2's, drop me a pm.
