does "hold" save petrol? anyone driven....
It depends on what you hold. ie if you hold a rope that is attached to a moving vehical in front of you this vastly reduces fuel consumption, so long as you keep your car in neutral and hand brake off.

Rear Quarter Panel Replacement
My buddy Lee who owns Wrexhan autocraft replace a quarter Pannel on a Zed last year. It was an isurance job and the pannel was new from Mr Nissan. If you want his number so you can ask him what it would cost etc, just give me a PM and I'll PM it back to you. Have you thought of having it staightend by a good pannel beater.

Bigger oil cooler?
You need to regulate the flow with a thermostat so that the oil returning isn't too cool when it returns to your engine or you'll loose viscosity. Mocal do them for about £35. I'm selling a 235mm X 25 row Mocal cooler + Moca Thermostatic Flow valve with all the Mocal braided hoses and Airodeck anodized collors. I've gone for something with a bigger bore and remote filter and take off plates. This kit is just bolt on and go + moding cooler brackets. Cost me about £200 in total but selling for £135. Its all as new

nissan 300zx 1990 import
How much thread is there under the collors? If there is thread under the collors you wind the collors down towards the wheel hub. This extends your springs and raises the ride height, making the ride softer. Just wind them down 5 full turns at a time and test drive until you get the feel you want. If the collors have no threads beneath them and you don't know what make they are then your looking at changing the lot.

You should be able to ajust the ride height and damper setting so as to get a softer ride by winding the sping collers down. It will raise your ride height, but that will do it.

mr2 to zonda kit !
Well it would sound awesome as well. Or if your really going for it what about a Heart V10. :D :D Was talking to a guy a Deemon Tweeks last week. He's got a Radical and they are putting a Heart 3.0 V10 engine in 900+ BHP NA. Its only costing him £1,200,000 for a season with full Heart support. He just looked like a regular guy having his C70 T5 wheel alinement done and we got chatting.

Engine Nearly Ready
Bloody hell Mike this is coming together very fast. Looks like a real nice job, some serious attention to detail. This should realy do the bizz. When you get rid of it in the next six months (well you normally do) just give me a bell first. That fuel rail looks awesome. What size are the Greddy brakes and what price? OMG I'm just going to fire one off. :slap:

MPG Manual TT
The official figure was 33mpg for the Auto and 27mpg for the manual. Having owned both I can assure you the auto is far more frugal than the Manual. Though if you drive at 65 70 ish on the motorway you can see about 33mpg in the manual even with all the mods i've got on my car.

mr2 to zonda kit !
I think that is beautiful. Do a Toyota 4.7 V8 conversion with the 500bhp kit and it would go well too. I bet that kit will be about £15K.

Advice appreciated My fault?
I think you should get on to BBC eye and the garages from Hell team straight away before these garages go out of business as This is all to familiar a story. I know because I've had a similar experience. It cost me £9000 and my car was of the road for over a year then I still had to get it all put right. C & S Wood completely rebuilt my engine and loads more stuff. Even with all the new parts it cost me a third of what the so call specialist cost me for wrecking my car and nicking half the bits I provided + other good bits off the car. You really do need to take it to Phill. Who ever said the compresion was spot on is in deep do if the other garage is correct. However if they are specialists or even just competant mechanics it would only be reasonable for them to check before they did the other work. Phill at C & S Woods is the only specialist who I will ever use these days.

Replacing studs
Yup the hubs have to come off and the studs in the rear are not the same as the front studs. The splined part of the fronts is on a shoulder and 14mm diameter where are the rear studs have a much smaller shoulder and a 12.5mm diameter on the splined part.

Rubber Pipes to Throttle Bodies...
Undue the jublee clips at both ends and make sure they are really loose. Then get hold with both hands and pull towards the front of the car and away from the Throttle bodies. Once its eased of the throttle body lift that end clear then push it of the metal pipes at the front.
