Sorry to disagree with Gregg here, but the ratio of anti freeze specified in the 300zx owners handbook is 90% Glycol based antifreeze to 10% water. There are two reasons for this. 1. Is the rate that heat is exchanged from coolant. ie helps keep your engine cooler. 2. it raises boiling point to 160 degrees centigrade which stops water boiling in the block and heads (which stops hot spotting) 3. It lubricates the pump and extends officient life. 4. It protects to -50 c 5. Finally it stops kenetic energy created by the engine from using the water system as a conductor which inturn causes corrosion of the water jackets, Heater Matrix which cloggs the Rad with crap and reduces efficiency. Alchol and benzine based coolants don't provent the about and break down very quickly. Glycol based coolants are often known as long life/ Summer or Artic coolants and are usually Pink or yellow in colour.
  3. Started car yesterday morning and the wipers came on. The switch is off and the wipers are on normal wipe. Played with switch and Nothing. Had to switch ignition off when wipers at the bottom and remove the 20 amp fuse. Any Idea's? Does the motor have preset memory or is there some relay? Is it the switch.
  4. You got your car stripped for painting then?

    I've got one £35
  6. you have to swap the subframe, prop, drive shafts and subframe as NA diff wouldn't fit in the TT subframe. People forget that this alters the final ratio and therefore you speedo gear will have to be a NA also

What about checking out if there is a Race meeting on at Llan-y-goss FIA Kart ciruit on the A5 between the Bala lights and Betesycoed. If there's no meet on its exelent Arrive and drive. Twin engined karts and a cracking ciruit if not the best out door kart ciruit in the UK.
  8. Remember that That you'll need to change your speedo sender as the NA diff is a different ratio and if your running between 390 and 440 RWHP you'll have to have the drive shafts strenghtend and uprate the diff. Quafe and OSGeeking do a kit for the diff and its not that expensive. My mate Dave gave me the name of a guy they use who'd uprate the drive shafts as well.

Graham your PM box is full. So I don't have to PM the rest of you guys. Been checking the old map out and your right it does look better to go North then across and since I've been roped into a do for my Father Inlaw the night before I won't be landing at Chris C's the night before and upsetting his plans. Pitty really because I'd been trianglating the smoke signals for a week and recond I could land within 60m of his house   Mark
  10. Alway as above or at very least Esso super unleaded Octane 97 When over the channel you put Shell and Esso 100 ron.
  11. Come off it you lot. The 350Z is puke horrible, but this new Jag is a real beauty
  12. Yep just watch your ass out there buddy and come back in one peice.
  13. S8Busa Twin Turbo This is a kit comprising of a block, crank, loom and ECU. You then have to sorse 2 Hyabusa 1300 Turbo engines and bolt top end of the hyabusa engines staight on to the kit. plug in the ECU and loom Strap on the Gearbox of choice and away you go. Make the VH45 look real fat and heavy. If you got loads a wonga you could go for a Hart V10.
  14. courtesy are sound and if you tell them its a Uk spec or Jspec and give them your Chassis number they send you the right ones.
  15. *cough* You 2 at it again Have you and John got shares in the VH45 plant

    Sounds like a plan.
  18. Nissan and 370 I think.
  19. How much???? Not that I'm going to jump just yet as this would take place durring the winter. I'm going to driver her as much as poss till then.
  20. Well I bought a car that was suposed to be A1 only to find it had a ceased Turbo and guess what. It was sold as seen. Went to court and because I'd made reasonable requests for repare or refund which they had ignored and because sent me letters from their solicitor saying it was sold as see etc. Which like I said is contry to British law. they even had to pay court costs. So basiclly your guy bluffed and the buyer panicked. Also it depends when were talking as I think 2+ years ago what your saying was true.
  21. I don't know because when JD chipped it for me. He didn't actually chip my ECU, because he said I've got a Auto ECU already chipped and we just swapped it + he had a few ECU's so i guess we'll never know. Explains why I want more from my present set up. I was hoping it was the later fuel rail as I was toying with thw idea of 740's
  22. Thats what I thought, but that is deffo come off my original engine. Ran it with Apexi Boost and Fuel controler no chip untill later and then couldn't get it to run properly. Cos I told JD it had standard injectors :headvswal , because thats what I thought. Even Dave at dp use to say that it must be running about 400bhp and he couldn't understand why they couldn't get AdamR's Z to run as quick as mine. well I'll go to the top of our stairs. And all the people that have worked and looked at my car over the years.
  23. I can assure you that "Sold as See" wouldn't make the slightest bit of difference in a court of law when it comes to motor vehicals. For obvious reasons. 1, that most people are not mechanics and therefore are entering into a transaction of trust, but 2, most importantly the law itself has a clause in it specific to the sale of motor vehicals and it says that any vehical sold must be fit for purpose and that the purchaser has a right to refund, compensation and/or the right to expect the vendor to replace or repare any defects that occure to the engine streering or drivetrain other than normal where and tear. within a period of 3 months or 5000 miles. It also go on about it being illegal to sell a vehicle with defective tyres brakes etc. Unless the car is sold for the purpose of "Spares or repare". Thats why all the Arther Daleys offer a Three month or 5000 mile warrenty. Not cost their nice guys or competing in the market place, but because the law say so and it applies to private sale just as much as it does to Traders.
