  1. My missis Once took a screw driver to the O/S front wing of my car.
  2. Yep its a crap colour and is so lifeless, but the Bayside blue is too bright for the Z and just doesn't look right. What about a deeper blue with a bright mid blue flake. So it has that two tone effect. Wheel centres in the same colour and bright chrome dishes. Would look stunning in a custom African Violet metal flake with gold wheel centres and chrome dishes. Tahts how my next Z will look. It going to be a SWB T Top with a supercharged 5.7 small block ally V8. But that project won't start until the winter off 2006
  3. They do the Ultra Bright in 80 watt only but in all H1 to H7 bulb so you could replace them all with em. They are better than the PIAA's Ultra that I used to use. They never used to be but the new ones that halfrauds are nocking out are a blue bulb with a silver tip and clam to be the latest gass technoligy. I replace a PIAA in my C70 T5 which is my daily drive because a bulb blew and I couldn't get a PIAA replacement for 2weeks. The Halfrauds one was so much brighter at night and so much whiter that I have relaced all four PIAA bulbs in the C70 and the 2 PIAA bulbs I used in main beem of my Z. Before you go HID get some of these for you dip beem and if you still want to go HID you can put them in your fog lamps. I'm well impressed by them.
  4. Sorry to disagree with you all but it just looks like its come out of some 1950 American movie. Nice colour, nice wheels, but just too much going on.
  5. Standard UK Blue pearl
  6. I had mine done about 2 years ago now. Doors, boot and bonnet off. All glass out and cards removed, but I didn't have the engine bay done then. Had that done later while engine rebuilt was taking place. Though the engine bay looks as good as a factory finish I wasn't that impressed. Unlike the rest of the car that was done at a different /proper body shop. The finish is superb and every one that see her in the flesh just keeps going on about how smooth the finish is. Unfortunatly though the front wings need repainting do to Garage not taking the apropriate care when reinstaling the engine.
  7. There is a thread on here somewhere. I did mine with the help of Dave at dp. He's the brains I'm just the spanner monkey.
  8. Try cleaning your MAF sensor with so Brake Disc cleaner. Or check that your TPS is set correctly.
  9. The best way to find out which really is the best colour is to ask what colour would you paint you Z if you could have it any colour you like.
  10. I used to get this in hot weather when mine was auto. I changed the intercoolers to the Greedy ones and went manual at the same time. I assumed it was the intercoolers that resolved this. However I sold my auto box to Chunk (that reminds me he still owes me for that) and he said it was lazy and felt like it wasn't delivering the power. He put a HKS fast Auto Box ECU chip on and bingo it flew again. infact he managed a sub 13second staning 1/4 mile with that same box and standard coolers infact they were mine too. I know Chris at GetGReedy sells these box of tricks for about £300. Coolers arn't so cheep though. hope this is of some use to you. P.S. if you do take you plenum off do the water by pass pipe bit and ditch your emissions rubbish while your at it. P.S. I just thought I have a set of new injector conectors if your hell bent on sorting them. Though I wouldn't mess with the loom unless your certain. I bought them of Dave C then decided to replace the whole engine ECU harness so never used em. Don't know what they sell for but you can have em for half price if you want em.
  11. Last months meet seemed to fizzle out to nothing so how about this Ist of August. Same Venue? or perhaps Alford Arms as its on a nice bit of road. ( B5130 ) Good car park and good food.
  12. Yes they are just for dip beem. If you go for the one that were on the first group buy. You have to alter the back of the light unit ,but they stay on when you put full beem on and it makes a lot of difference. Also the Halfrauds Ultra Bright 80watt high beem replacements are fantastic and give the same colour output as the HIDs.
  13. Unplug old, and plug in new short harness in to old harness. Job done :D :D
  14. Not Guilty though I do have dump valves, but my bumper is a one off. I know cos I'm the one that did it. So far I've been PM'd to tell me that they saw my car and asked if it was mine, but unfortunatley it wasn't me.
  15. No it wasn't mine, but obviously belonged to someone with good taste
  16. Perfectly normal practice. It does look nice. I imported a gen 7 TRD celica for my wife two years ago and it took 3 months to get here and when you test drive it. If your not happy or anything wrong with it then you get your deposit back. If it has got a grade 4 certificate you can get a copy of that and rest assured if its grade 4 its a sound car, if it's 5 its Brand new so 4.5 is mint.
  17. This has just started happening since the weather got good and hot has it? Also just an off the wall one here. Is it Auto by any chance?
  18. Sounds more like safety boost which could be a whole load of things that course that. From the simple to serious. Get her on a conzult or use the blink codes on the ECU. However that didn't help me because it was my ECU that had a problem. If you use the search on here for the online manual you'll get the section that tell you how to do the blink codes. all you need is a bit of wire.
  19. I have a uk TT auto engine that came out of my car when I put my rebuilt new to me secondhand manual TT in. The enginge has done 130K, but the oil was changed every 4000 miles and I have had that engine since 34,000 miles. It has been compresion tested and is spot on though the big end bearings are making a slight noise and would need re shelling + I'd say put a new oil and water pump on it, but I'd tell you to do that with any secondhand or rebuilt engine anyway. If you want it I want £600 as she is or £900 with the big ends replaced and new rings.
  20. Thanks guys. Lets just hope the Zed god feels the love and blesses my mota at last.
  21. I think thats a bit insulting Paul. I would have said he was well built, but whats more important a thouroghly nice chap :D :D :D
  22. Vinz's again Is http://www.clarket.plus.com/JAE/JAE%2005%20015.jpg Jame's. That is the best Deswaging job i've ever seen it so smooth.
  23. It makes no difference what you do, or how much money you earn. The more money you had the more you throw at the boody things and the more frustrating they become. Once you,ve been bitten by the Z bug it becomes like a marriage. It starts out as pure lust. You think she looks stunning and you carn't wait to get into her. You get a feel for her and the ride becomes rewarding while the curves of her body become more admired. Soon lust becomes love and before long a love hate relationship, I'm at the point that if my relationship to my z don't improve soon (ie I get some rewarding driving for all the money I've spent on her) then I'll be going for a divorce.
  24. Holly shit it would be like sitting in MacDonnalds all the time. MMMM fantastic, shinny red plast :slap: :hurl: :hurl:
  25. Took my Zed to Camco on Friday to see if they could sort my number 6 pot out. Well it turnned out to be a ECU fault, but now its fixed and firing on all 6 pots. So if nothing else fails that only leaves the speedo, reverse lights, electrical gremlins like low fuel warning light on even though fuel gauge shows there truly is plenty of fuel, ABS light on and Headlamp warning light on. Oh theres other stuff like wings needing repainting to repare all the scratchs done while the engine was swapped (due to no wing covers being used), but that a different story. I've been at this point that many times before so please I'd like you all to say alittle prayer for me to ward of the Zebling.
