  1. Anyone know where i can get my wheel arches rolled in the North west or Midlands. My New rear wheels are catching my wheel arches as they are wider. Need to have em rolled about an inch.
  2. Its a Hilux with a estate body. Tough as old boots, but not very interesting. However it will go on for ever so long as you top up the oil and water (usually about once a year) The last of the old shape Nissan Patrols are cracking motors and go a bit better and Handle alot better. + the 2.8 tdi does about 32 mpg and they have leather, climate and every creature comfort.
  3. Oil cooler. At least 25 row X 315mm wide. 1/2" min feed I'd go for 3/4, Remote filter and Feed from filter take off. Better still Barry leave it alone as it is now unless you realy want to race. I wish I had.
  4. No cos it should stay in the cooler Though the oil in the return pipe will feed back to the sump.
  5. Really sad that you've built such a sweet car and then your selling. What you wanting for her
  6. Yep This is why I'm asking. To get it to register on the Dipstick I have to put in 4.25 Ltr's yet the manual says 3.4 I have a large 315mm X 25 row cooler, remote filter housing and running 1/2 inch system from the filter housing with dirrect return to the filter take off. What I have found is that running the engine with this amount of oil results in high engine temps when giving it serious pain or crusing at 90 + mph. It also throws oil out the rear. Just little specs until the oil level drops to just showing on the end of the dipstick. Once it got to this point it seems to stop throwing it out the back and the temps seem to become far more normal. Talking to a friend who is a well known tunner he says its because I'm putting too much oil in and that at high revs the oil getting bashed about by the vanes of the crank are heating it up. This is causing too much heat for my system because the NA oil squirters are already transfering a lot of heat from the fordge piston heads. The heat creats high oil presure and greater volume by expansion which causes it to be forced out anywhere it can. He recomends an expansion tank and less oil + maybe a bigger cooler. Thoughts and experiences Please P.S. If what Dave says is true and us Brits have kept wacking 4+ltrs in and it is upping the heat, maybe that is why we have the heat issuse when the Yanks in Califonia Don't. Big problem though is like Phil at C & S Wood says. If its not showing on the dip stick how do you know if its using oil or not. All problems of engine tuning.
  7. Cheers Lymon thanks for that. I'll get em shielded in the next couple of weeks.
  8. I have Noltec, but these do allow the engine to Rock under revs and alter your gearbox possition ever so slightly.
  9. What is the exact correct amount of oil without a filter change?
  10. Do you find that you are organise into having ti sing at all family functions. I'm told as soon as I walk through the door that I'll be doing a couple of numbers. My wifes family are From Ireland and its even worse there. They often have a band at the doo's over there and even if it's a traditional Irish band one of my inlaws will get up and anounce that Mark our cousin from England is going to sing a few songs. Doesn't matter even if you just really don't feel like it. Families :headvswal

16th or 17th? either is fine by me at the mo.
  12. Your telling me. He interviewed her at my old house in Sale, Manchester. That was some place. We had a huge rehursal studio in the Basement. We'd be banging the tunes out and three doors down Tom Jones was having Voice coaching at Dorothy's. Head had some problem or other. It was Surreal to come out for a breather and hear Tom Jones knocking it out nextdoor, but one.
  13. Still, It keeps em away from Criminals and doing anything useful to society, like locking the fookers up so they can't beat and rob grannies etc.

I'm not back till the 4th of Sept, but If you fancy the weekend after I'd be up for it. I flashed a guy coming out of Trevor last week in a silver 2+2. I was on my way to pick my lad up from work in Llangollan. Is it anyone on here I wonder.

Thats the baby Pritty sure it was December O5. I remember because the M54 isn't that far from me.
  18. Sounds more like something coming into contact with the lower cambelt cover. Have you taken it off and looked at the inside of the cover for signs off a pully or the belt rubbing.

Dun no, but they've gone back to the Volvo T5's Which I think are awesome cars. Not much to stay with them from 60mph to 140mph and if chipped by RICA they pull 320BHP and 475 pounds per Foot or inch or newtons squared or what ever it is they mesure it by (Alot of torque) The new S40 T'5 RS is 4 wheel drive and 450 BHP straight out the box. That must be a serious monster.

V6 Twin Turbo. Used to be the 220 BHP 2.5 they used in the flagship Kalibra (or how ever you spell it) I believe the same lump has been bored out to 3.0ltr TT and 260 BHP limited to 160 MPH. Came out with the latest shape about 2 years ago.
  21. :slap: No NO NOOO £70 included collection and return So it was a good price Woz  Nice though arn't they. Look cool on my blue car and crap on a silver car so don't get any Ideas.
  22. Lap Tap quoted £55 for the same job, but they wanted £80 for collection so the fact that Pristine collected them as well at that price. Your proberbly right it is a good price. I forgot the collection and return was included in that.
  23. Pristine wheels. I know that Lap Tap and Image are cheeper than Pristine, but I had a set done at pPristine 6 years ago and they are still mint. I haven't seen any wheels from anyone else in the flesh and I thought at least I know there work. Weren't cheep though. £70 per wheel Its Subaru Gold and Dimomd cut Rims. It means you have to polish them every week or two but they come up like chrome.
  24. Well now you mention it they wouldn't fit over my R33 GTR brakes, so I'm having to have Heibach 5mm consentric spacers and wheel studs.
