Rolling Road
you mean an underdrive pulley? would a lightened flywheel make much difference coz thats the other thing I was thinking of getting. from what I remember smithy does underdrive pulleys for about #120. What bhp extra would this give me? Cheers m'dears

Rolling Road
Had my car On the RR today. with all the mods you can see in my sig it got 340bhp and 280 lb of torque. Is this pretty good? Is there owt else I can do (cheaply) to bump up the bhp now. Im running 1mm boost jets and boost seemed to peak at 13 yet on the road the boost meter reads 14.5. Something down to loading I was told. If I fit my boost controller I presume that would give me a little extra.

Towing an Auto
sorry mate, I meant be towed my mates engine has blown, it will run but thats it so we was gonna get it running and get it towed As far as I was aware as long as engine is running then oil pump for transmission? would still pump oil through. I dont know if this is right though

1/4 mile times
I think my main worry is a decent launch, If I can launch well, im pretty sure I'll make good time. Pete, watched your vid and do you do the power breaking thing. I tried that on my old Supra Auto and could get quiet a good launch, but Im now on a manual and trying to get enougfh speed without spinning the back is a fine art. I think Im gonna have to invest in a Racelogic traction control later.

1/4 mile times
Anyone done the 1/4 mile run and got their (true) times with any car mods. Im looking to do this very shortly and wondering what time I will get. Would 13.3s@102mph be feasible with a UK Manual TT, Apexi induction, 1mm boost jets and a decat exhaust, JWT Chip. Or would I be looking at beating that - providing it dont sit their wheelspinning.

quick throw gearshift???
I dont think you get any difference in performance, less travel true but it can only change as quickly as your synchro's gonna allow you, if you have a knackered/slow box you will have to change as slow as you would normally to let synchromesh kick in.

Shrimpy
Pete, loved the vids, noticed in the back corner of the window the 200+ sticker. Aer you in Chris Manns 200+ club. Im in that too. Its him Im racing at York dragstrip. Have you seen how quick his car is ???!!!??? He works with me and its been a big lightheartedly challenge. As is I dont wanna lose but hes got 4wd and racing paddles etc FFS Have you seen him go up against any one else on the drag days? Hes got the Celica GT4 (Modded) in black I think.

Pic of rear light conversion
Now I have done the white rear light conversion and have bolted them into the car I just thought I'd show yuo what they look like. I think thy look great, my only downside is when you indicate the orange bulb only lights up some of the white strip not all of it - but then Im not really bothered too much about it.

Torsion bar joint
in a previous post I said my front wheel was too far forward, well after getting car up all looks ok, no bent or twisted metal etc. I have took some photos of the joint to see if you think it could be faulty or if you can see something else wrong? Thanks
