  2. I visited my Dad the other week and the neighbours next door came out who havent seen me in the last 10 years and asked how I can afford a Ferrari Now Thats a compliment (I didnt have the heart to tell them it was a Nissan)
  3. Clear out some of your private messages mate - your mailbox is full and Im trying to PM you Ta :D
  4. suspention?? I think you should be suspended for your incorrect english :)
  5. Oops - I think that'd be a no then If I take off my headlamp panel I can see straight down to the oil cooler etc should that be blocked off?
  6. Can anyone tell me what a splashguard looks like? I got a uk car and think I got one ( a large plastic tray under radiator??) but Im sort of having lots of probs and it seems to be when it rains
  7. Has anyone successfully managed to build their own conzult i/f. Im thinking of making one and trying the free version thats out there for realtime engine monitoring.
  8. I use MER car wash with a capful of MER polish thrown in Thats meant to be ok aint it
  9. Splash guard is there - I presume its a splash guard ;) I kept dropping the friggin screws and they landed on something black and plasticy. I washed the car about 2 hours before going out, but there was no rain or water on the roads? When I press the accelerator, I can hear the TPS relay switching.
  10. Stu, I was gonna do an ECU but didnt as it is now running ok. Thinking of getting a laptop and conzult :) An ecu diag woul;d only show if sensor wasnt working? not a bad connector though?
  11. Now theres an idea, do you mean at the very top of the boot so it runs down the gutter? Also my spoiler is on its way out - Ive just got on eof them new ones im waiting for it to be fitted so I spose crud could be getting under my old spoiler and running behind lights etc
  12. I tried both, because TPS was loose last week, Jeff sorted it out and TPS should be working ok AFM was refitted again and all connectors cleaned about 2 weeks ago because I fitted an APEXI Filter. Im sure this has done this before though When I pulled over wiggling the TPS leads and the AFM made no difference. (I had the headlamp panel off too) - forgot to mention that. Is that all it can be - shall I cut connectors out and solder them direct on or summit?
  13. Just driving up the motorway and give it some welly, (aftermarket) Boost gauge shot up to 15 psi, then a big lurch as engine dies (not fully but lumpy as hell) . Pulled over and engine stalled, tried to start, engine would tick over but wouldnt go above 2.5k and I had to keep pumping the pedal to keep it ticking over otherwise it just stalled. eventually got the car running and could rev up to about 5k. So pulled away, power was really down though and it absically run like a bag of sh*t. Stopping at traffic lights tickover would drop down to 200 then stall. Eventually - pulled over and got a bite to eat. Started car again and its fine. Boosted back to 15psi, and tickover is back to normal. Any idea what happened, its getting me too scared of putting my foot down - whats the point in having a fast car if ya too scared of killing the engine to boot it. I was thinking possibly fuel temp sensor may think fuel was overheating thus retarding ignition? but the way the engine just died when it hit boost wouldnt suggest that?
  14. Cheers people I may just stick to hosing down with normal tap supply then.
  15. Everytime I take my car down the local garagfe and jetwash it Its comes back dirtier!!!! Whats happening is the rear side window rubber at the bottom and the bottom of the lights seem to be full of dirt. I have jetwashed just the window rubber for about 5 mins and still more comes out. Same goes to rear light cluster, mud and grit comes out from the bottom of the light cluster continually. Anyone else have same problem? I removed the light cluster and cleaned up and refitted a while ago but its still does it!!!
  16. yeah, mine auto locks once you start engine can be a right sod if your outside the car scraping the windows, its freezin cold and you hear the THUNK of the central locking

  20. I have a GREDDY Full auto timer which I want to put in shortly. I have a toad ai606 alarm (like most on here) Will it work ok with the alarm?
  21. hehe quick or have you done it before?
  22. This can be done - it takes about 20 mins to work out or 15 mins if your clever like me ;) In a street there are 5 houses painted 5 different colors. In each house lives a person of a different nationality. The 5 homeowners each drink a different beverage, smoke a different brand of cigar, and keep a different pet. The question is: Who keeps the fish? HINTS: 1. The Brit lives in the red house. 2. The Swede has a dog. 3. The Dane drinks tea. 4. The green house is on the left of the white house. 5. The owner of the green house drinks coffee. 6. The person who smokes pall mall has birds. 7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhills. 8. The man living in the center house drinks milk. 9. The Norwegian lives in the first house. 10. The man who smokes blends lives next to the one who has cats. 11. The man who has horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhills. 12. The man who smokes blue master drinks beer. 13. The German smokes prince. 14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house. 15. The man who smokes blends has a neighbor who drinks water. Albert Einstein wrote this riddle in the early 20th century. He said that 98% of the population would not be able to solve it. Good luck.
  23. A blonde police officer pulls over a blonde in a convertible sports car for speeding. She walks over to the car and asks the blonde driver for some I.D. The blonde convertible driver searches through her purse in vain. Finally she asks, "What does it look like?" The blonde police officer tells her, "It's that thing with your picture on it." The blonde driver searches for a few more seconds, pulls out her compact, opens it, and sure enough sees her picture. She hands the compact to the blonde cop. The blonde cop looks at the compact for a few seconds, then rolls her eyes, hands the compact back to the blonde convertible driver, and says, "If you had told me you were a police officer when I first pulled you over, we could have avoided this whole thing!"
  24. All looks ok under the bonnet - must be where the pedal is - I'll have a quick squiz this weekend when its warmer and lighter Thanks all
  25. Cheers people, Andy you say on the outer - is there any way of verifying or should I just replace cable. SRAEE, do I get someone to press pedal down while I watch top of engine / throttle bodies Ta
