Anyone know how where to lube or how to sort a sticky throttle. Every now and then you have to push acc pedal dreasonably firmly and hear a click before revs climb. also when changing gear at high speeds and high revs throttle seems to stick open for half a second making gear changes embarrissing

I done that with my Supra. However if you do have good tyres and get a puncture I believe the foam renders them useless?? May get you home but you cant have tyre repaired then.

with a lightened flywheel though - dont you lose torque?

As someone here posted tho - the det sensor only picks up detting below 3000rpm?

I got one of these on my car but I dont know when the filter was last changed. Are they washable or do I have to buy a new filter? Anyone know where I can buy one if I need to?

revs drop the more I pull back to radiator, and rise more I push back to car. Im not sure if its open but like I said I have just done it so tickover sits at 800rpm

Danny - which wire should read .4vish How do I see if its open or closed? when I blip throttle?

Cheers Ive set it for now by listening to tickover and setting tickover at 800rpm when warm. Can this do any damage? Cheers

aha, But if I set it on warm tickover it should read .4v then that should be it right? There is a little line scribed on the TPS body above the screw. That is slightly to the right off the center of the screw.

Car the other morning warmed up then when warm couldnt get to tick over - kept dying. Looked under bonnet and my TPS was loose - now sliding this back and forth as such changes the revs but Im sure there is a voltage on one of the wires to set it to. From what I remember someone said as a rough guide to set base you can switch ignition onand move it till you hear a click then move back slightly and tighten. Thing is I cant hear a click? I thought you had to have engine running then get .4v off one of the wires? Also car seems slightly lumpy when driving around - could this be related?

Nah, had a few more probs so Ive sat it on the back of a pickup lorry and sent it down to Zedworld. Im gonna get Jeff to sort out all other niggly little problems at same time.

Belt had come off - inspected all seemed ok Fitted back (after half an hour fumbling under the car) and started car. Big noise and belt popped straight back off Looked at the fan and noticed water pump pulley shaft for the fan is just rattling around. I think I need a new water pump. Are these expensive? easy to fit? Ta

Definately unleaded triple checked the receipt the white fan - I cant see the belt that drives this? any ideas on why the battery is now totally dead? or is this all coincidence?
