blown headgasket?
Right - if you refer to my last post of "Duff Fuel" the problem has now worsened. I left car overnight and started up this morning fine. Just been around the block for a quick blat and as pulled back into my street noticed BATTERY light was on. Not only that the LIGHTS light the ANTI-LOCK light , DIFF OIL and MISS OIL Lights were all on. Then I noticed the temperature - in the MAX. switched off the engine and could here gurlgling noises from under the bonnet. About a litre of water came out from near the passenger front wheel. I let car cool down and just started up again to see. Car starts up fine but all them lights are still on. temp is now in norm. There is a gurgling noise from the brake reservoir area at the back of the engine. The large white (viscous) fan is not moving though. About 30 secs later the car starts stuttering and slowly dies again. Now I presume the white fan has failed causing it to overheat? What do I do now? Cheers

Any last ideas before I join the AA or RAC or take it to my local (Never worked on one of 'em before mate) garage.

Push button start
presumably - you still gotta use your key for the steering lock and IGN on.

Found the PTU - thanks Wheres the MAS? Done an ECU check - all ok It will rev over 3000 but after half a mile or so car will start sputtering and die. Takes a fair while before starting again. I have just put some dry fuel (Wynns) in which removes water and cleans injectors and I also added some Octane Booster. Still got probs. Car seems sweet for 5 mins then like I say, splutters and dies, takes 5 minutes to start again, sounds and feel like water in intake then just cleans itself out and goes really well for next mile or so. This is really doin me head in coz I dont know If its fixed when I do something.

whereabouts is the PTU? Do I just clean conns? If I leave it will the water in the fuel (IF thats the problem) just evaporate? out? thanks

Noticing the fuel gauge was very low this morning - I pulled into my local jet and put 45 quids worth of unleaded in. Pulled away and all was fine. About a mile and a half later revs drop and car starts stuttering and stalling. After furious pumping of the accelerator I can get it to tick over as long as I keep pumping the pedal. Car dies. Leave it for 10 mins - starts up fine. After a few juddery minutes down the road car seems to pick up and be fine again. another half a mile and car dies at lights. Many presses of pedal later I can get it to start and hop away from the lights. Then car picks up again and seems fine. Just managed to get home and car is revving through the range again and seems ok. Thing is its raining and I dont want to risk breaking down now. I checked the conns on the AFM but sure its not this as it revs above 3k. I have checked my air filter (HKS) and its as dry as a bone. Seem slike water in the fuel? I rung up the petrol station and they said they have had no complaints and untikl they get some it must be my car. Any ideas people?

Push button start
anyone fitted one of these to the Zed. Are they easy/cheap? Bit gimmicky because you still gotta use a key for steering lock and ignition on.

Was gonna risk driving in this morning but glad I didnt (having no rear tread really doesnt help matters ((Am after som enew wheels - if I dojnt get some this week Im gonna have to shell out for new tyres)). Walking to work this morning went ass over tit and cut my hand and grazed my knee - not nice. Musta looked funny to all the passers by tho

Where'd He Go???
8p The advice and knowledge Jeff has given me has been great. HE takes his own time to help out and has sorted out several probs on my car. I will continue to use him, if you dont like him - dont use him - simple. I dont think theres any need for pettiness, surely were better than that on here.

Got some ink done!
Yeah, mine hurt a bit too I got a fair size one at the top of each arm, and it hurt most on the long sweeping lines. The outline hurts more than the filling in.

There are some brushed aluminium and Japanese rosewood dash kits for the 300zx on ebay at the moment. Has anyone fitted either of these? are they any good? Anyone got a photo of one fitted to their car. I think I prefer the alloy look one but dont want to go tacky ;) Cheers
