  1. When I fitted mine, I had a good look at the inserts. I wish I had tried to make my own first as they dont look hard to make. They llok like std flourescent light fittings. Perhaps if you have an old rear light you can split and trace the outline of the amber onto an old diffuser. I *think* someone told me to use a tile saw?? which *should* cut a diffuser ok. Then just buy 2 orange bulbs and your sorted :)
  2. If its what I think, try using a smidging of silicone sealant on the inner part of the connector - make sure you dont get it on the connections. Leave to set and your sorted - itll stop them rattling loose but you can still take them off :)
  3. no mate Aftermarket Boost guage was fitted when I got the car

  6. as per previous posts im losing boost - 5psi and with boost controller set high I can get to 10psi However even though I used to get 14.5psi my 10psi feels extremely quick. Pulling away in 1st, lift up clutch fully then flooring it results in wheels spinning and screeching, quick change to second and lots more mad screeching and spinning. Have I just forgotten how quick my car was as Ive only been running 5 psi.
  7. are these link arms seen through the central vents? Or looking through the tunnel that links to the door? thanks
  8. Gotta admit, until I see it in red I actually prefer the west wing or 99 spec I think

  16. Just bought me a brand spanker Veilside front bumper :hyper:  Cant wait to get it fitted Wheres best place for front number plate - can I lay it on the bottom bit face up as such? or does it have to be vertical or at a minimum angle? Cheers
  17. Has anybody ever took apart the HKS EVC3 Boost solenoid. Im getting a rattling (sort of split diaphragm air noise) under boost and my boost is right down to 5psi. Wondering whether it could be split diaphragm (if there is one) in the solenoid. Do they dismantle easy - Anyway I can easily find out if its working or not. I.e. an easy way to remove boost solenoid and run std again. Thanks
  18. I was actually after the full PCV kit and hoses for my UK spec Series 1 TT. Im afraid I dont know part numbers or costs though IF its not *too* much trouble it would be great. I can sort you out money before you order mate. Ta

  21. I use DC++ mate Its a file sharing prog but with about 500Terrabytes of searchable music - you can pretty much get what you want
  22. Cheers JD, I presume all of them could cause a boost leak If I spray around seals etc with wd40 and raise revs it should blow little oil bubbles - right?
  23. Anyone here on it - just got V6 and it looks absolutely mint
  24. Until I get down to Mr Dixon or up to Mr Duff, Im wondering whether anyone can help me. Running 5 psi boost even when I switch the evc 3 on!!! I used to get 15psi - I presume I got a boost leak. It *sounds* like it could be from the rear of the engine (passengers side), but im not sure. I have tried spraying wd40 around the pipes and raising the revs to break vacuum and blow the wd40 but i cant seem to find which pipe *may be split or leaking*. I have felt all around pipes, etc whilst raising revs but cannot feel any blowing from anywhere. Any ideas? What pipes is it likely to be? *An idiot proof drawing or photo would be good* :) Thanks
  25. AFAIK The rad shroud actually helps direct the blown air onto the rad? Without it your cooling efficiency drops a fair bit.
