Thinking of getting a cheap (read under £3K) 4x4 as a second car. Like the look of the Cherokee Jeep 4L, the Frontera LWB and I think the Isuzu Trooper 3L? Anyone have any experience with these or recommend a different one? Like most 4x4s it wont be going off road really - just fancy a bigish motor for the wet and icy country lanes. Fuel economy would be a factor too. Ta

Scoops, this happened to a friend of ours a while ago. It maybe the little scroats threw a stone or something like that or it could be the same as happened to may mates GTI. We were all leaving his house and for no reason whatsover the rear window just popped, spiderwebbed and smashed. Now the car had been stood for a few hours, and it was half reversed into the garage so no-one could have thrown owt at it??? Phone AA Windscreens and they said it does happen on rare occasions that screeens just pop!!! weird, scary too

Anyone know where I can get a steering wheel boss for my TT. Dont care about losing the HICAS. Do I just add a few buttons for the cruise control? Whats a nice wheel to go for as my other half is buying me one for my birthday :)

I need some advice on what could be a life changing decision. I've suspected for some time now that my girlfriend has been having an affair. The usual signs. Phone rings, I answer, someone hangs up. She started going out 'with the girls' a lot recently although when I ask which girls it is always "Just some friends from work, you don't know them". I always look out for her taxi coming home but she always walks down the drive although I can hear a car setting off. As if she has got out of the car round the corner. Why? Is it not a taxi? I once picked her mobile up just to see what time it was and she went beserk and screamed that I should never touch her phone again and why was I checking up on her. Anyway, I have never approached the subject with my g/f. I think deep downI just didn't want to know the truth but last night she went out again and I decided to check on her. I decided I was going to hide behind my zed which would give me a view of the whole street so I could see which car she gets out of. It was whilst crouched behind my car that I noticed rust around my rear wheel arch. Should I take it into a body repair shop or should I buy some stuff from Halfords and try to repair it myself? :)

Ipaq was a couple a hundred a while ago - gps satnav bluetooth receiver was £80 then theres just the software. . . .

Just got a tomtom bluetooth GPS and Navigator 3 on my Ipaq !! Best money I have ever spent Even the trip to work now takes me on a quicker route on roads Ive never hearf of before. best thing is its all in 3d and it maps out any speed cameras, garages etc (from a downloaded national database) or whatever you want notifying of, if you change your route for whatever reason - i.e. traffic jam - it automatically recalculates a new route for ya!!!!! MINT :hyper:

thanks people - Ive bought one from AndyZ looks like it snapped on the bottom of the motor that connects to the arm Ive pulled out all the pieces and will fit a new one.

my front windscreen wipers failed me on the way to work this morn, they dont move at all - sounds like the motor itself is moving though? Is it a case of popping off the 4? screws on the black plastic surround in front of the screen? Does it sound like spline has rounded off? They are very stiff to move by hand.

I was thinking of placing an order to Courtest for a bushing kit - They want $144 for the kit then another $154 for delivery??? Is this right? Anyone else had this?

Alright matey that was me That was my mate Petes Zed, He pulled up alongside me in the Silvery colour Vectra. I thought yours was a 99 spec at first and he was sat behind you. Anyone here ever fitted one of these. Ive just fitted one on my missuses 200sx and it dont work :( Got it from Ebay. Plumber it in - Im hoping correctly - and nothing. It has 2 vacuum feeds - one on top and one at the back - are these meant to be teed together then plumbed into the vac line?
