  1. tbh - best playing Ive seen yet. enjoying this un
  2. I hate football - so dont know what Im on about but Joe Cole is playing excellently - top goal too :) I only watch the england matches :) I also think rooney is overrated.
  3. pm sent ;)
  4. Anyone look over my log file (attached zipped up). It looks lean? Am I losing power/damaging anything. Does everything else look ok? How do I fix the lean (if its running lean) as its got an aggressive fuel map so I would have thought should run rich.
  5. nope - got em from ZCentre - pucker unorthodox pulley and belts - got the wrong size pas belt but that wasnt the one squealing.
  6. fitted the u/d pulley and had lots of belt squeal - even tightening them resulted in a squeal from the alternator belt when revved hard. Spray WD40 on pulley/belt - shut em right up. Not had the squeal since - Im thinking there must be a grease or something on the pulley, so if your getting squeal it may be worth spraying with wd40 before you get under car wielding spanners.
  7. Do you have the plans still for the ramps. Need to make up some myself - prob work it out but if youve got measurements and wood sizes that works - all the easier for me :)
  8. Trying to get good 0-60 times. I know wheelspinning is losing traction - hence losing forward motion. I know you need to get turbos spooled up so revs are high etc but on a manual whats the best way of getting a good launch (without traction control). Whenever you see the stig on top gear he gives loadsa wheelspin. Ive had a few runs now I got decats and u/d pulley and can get a 4.79@65mph. On the subject - anyone know why its not 0-60 on the datascan - you select 0-60 but it peaks at figures just over 60.
  9. got belts but wasnt happy with the 905. Got the 880 on now - tight but im thinking its ok. - not too tight Bloody thing is still screaming though - gotta be the alternator belt (Gates) that needs adjusting as I dont have aircon pump. I don most of the work earlier but a local friendly mechanic put belts on and adjusted them up. Is it easy enough to adjust alternator myself?
  10. these are 4 ribbed - trying to get a 880 on now - still looks too small
  11. tried fitting the 905 belt and it squeals like a banshee - and pas pump its at it furthest setting so need a shorter belt Got a 863 (about 4cm shorter - that should mean if i can slacken the pump all the way i should be able to wind it on about half way in the slide bolt. it dont fit - I cant get the slide bolt to pass even half way along its travel - adjuster is undone all the way but pas pump will only move a fraction. Ive tried drifting it slightly with some wood but cant get the slide bolt half way along the travel any ideas - what length belts have you fitted? Cheers
  12. I had an air-horn on my red zed, that was stupidly loud. On my black zed its got the std horn that sounds like bloody Noddy & Big ears car. Im embarrased to use it. So Im looking for a good horn - dont know if I want air horn or electric - anyone recommend one? Cheers
  13. Cheers people - got it trailered home. Thanks to Ryan (aka Baggins) for advice. Also thanks to Luke @ ZCentre for sorting me out my Unorthodox Underdrive pulley Im putting on at the same time. It was one of the cambelt cover bolt sleeves that hold the rear cambelt cover to the engine - it had undone itself and was bouncing around in the belt area - making hell of a noise. Full strip down of all cover inc lower (hence replacing my u/pulley at same time - roll on Friday), showed bolt was nowhere to be found but metal sleeve fell to floor. So - not only do I now know how to strip front end of car down - Im getting an unorthodox at same time :) Thanks for all advice people
  14. just checked - the rattling sounds the same but the whine (intermittent) raises with it. just noticed the cambelt cover moves with the noise - like its the belt rubbing on that?? I have a small video file with sound - just cant attach it :( It sounds more like a rubbing cambelt cover now tho - but all screws seem tight.
  15. think it stays the same. just gets drowned out a little with the exhaust
  16. cheers bud, its for work - new printers etc in busy areas and noise consideration is a major factor - they need dot matrix printers so am just weighing up which ones are quietest compared to what they have at the moment (that they're complaining about). Thanks
  17. topped up pas fluid, noise still there sounds like a rattling from beneath the left cam cover :(
  18. Can anyone explain - I know its a logarithmic scale and not a linear scale. so approx every 3db doubles noise. 10db is a tenfold increase and a 20db gain is 100 times louder. so if youve got a device at 58dBa and another at 43dBa how much quieter is it? is it about 18 times quieter?
  19. :( started car this morning and it sounds like the alternator?? (its the top left as your looking at engine from front - could possibly be power steering pump) or water pump bearings have gone. its gone from a rattle to a loud rattle with whining noises. If power steering pump then would it whine on standstill and not touching the steering? Im thinking alternator is at bottom of car. I checked the water levels and all were ok until I got to work and realised I hadnt put the cap on properly. Only lost about quarter of a litre of water though. topped up but noise is real loud now. gonna limp it home later what do you think it could be? Thanks
  20. Yep, cheers for all the nice comments Sara, lovely to speak to you - albeit for a minute as I was a little rushed. You were all waiting to close up shop when I come to pick car up. ;)
  21. Cheers Pete, Sarah (FairladyZGirl) and especially the fitter (Sarah, please pass on my gratitude to Pete and the fitter), for an absolutely top job on my exhaust. It sounds awesome - not chavy stupid loud, but a bit like a tvr :) Dead chuffed, and looks-wise it fills out the holes in the west wing bumper nicely - old exhaust looked a little lost to be honest. Had cats removed and no smoke :hyper: Also had all pipework replaced with 2.5" stainless and cobra back boxes. So thanks guys for a job well done.
  22. Just to further what I said and along with Pete Clarityn I believe is just an expensive brand name of loratine. Zirtek is pretty packaging for Cetirizine 10mg.
  23. Cetirizine 10mg Only thing works for me and I tried loads of different products. I think theres a brand name for them at £7 for 7 tablets If you ask the chemist they sell the unbranded versions that are exactly the same without the pretty colour packaging for about £4 for 30 tablets.
  24. well it never happened - took it down there and decided to go full stainless all the way through - so its going in this morning at 9am for cat removal then stainless pipe through to cobra twin 3 or 3.5" (not decided yet) back boxes. Got a good price too thanks to Sarah :) Will post up pics and results later.
