  1. cheers for reply guys, if u buy the kit comes with the gun it's a schutz gun, really easy to spray with just blasts it on lol. my camera on phone flash makes it look a little weird when you actually look at it, just looks like a satin black. looks really clean and hope it keeps the rust away too
  2. hi mate, best place I have used for tracking and alignment is elite tyres in dagenham. unsure on the shims but sure they would know for definite what is wrong and how to go about it.
  3. even gone over wishbones etc, this stuff seems really good. had to get a bit off the front arch to do a repair in the engine bay and it is tough half wire brush on a drill and took some time to remove it don't think stones have much chance. it's mad how thick it goes on too, removing that bit in the arch shocked me cause feels like u have only dusted it on.
  4. hi guys done some more rust proofing. I used grey dinitrol 447, and it looked ok but on a white zed thought it would look much better in black so was gonna over paint in gloss black. but instead bought more 447 in black, I think it looks much better. what do you guys think, and now it's got 2 lots of rubber paint so hopefully should be well protected now. and they say it works has a sound proof. before in grey and some in black even did along the wheel arch, when its sprayed next month paint over the bit on the arch and hopefully may help with stones chipping it. thanks for loo king everyone.
  5. If I'm thinking of the bit your on about, its the side where I have not cut into, side I welded had nothing in it. yeah just welded a patch in. will this be ok the 2nd pic down from the top of page shows nothing in it to the right of the hole has lots of metal in there.
  6. sleeve I'm lost lol, made it like the bit I took out. was only one piece of metal. should I have.
  7. me to, white looks cool when freshly painted but it's addictive everytime it gets a few scratches needs a respray lol.
  8. just booked it in with my bro in law his gonna paint the whole car for about the 3rd bloody time lol. this time I'm taking care of it. it's staying in the garage. he said just leave it alone and he will fix it, and just do what I do and take the lump out and he will do what he does. think his trying to tell me something. suppose he can do all the bodywork but phoned me the other day having trouble changing his spark plugs on a ford couger. thanks again for reply. booked in for 15th of next month. whoop whoop. going arctic white again. then gotta put it all back together without scratching it, oh dear.
  9. was hoping to not use seam sealer, and try to smooth it all out with filler will that be ok, trying to weld without the Seams there. gonna do the other side and move fuse box too. cheers for your reply.
  10. Anyone reckon it will smooth out or have I done it so wrong lol. do u guys who weld bits and smooth them use filler or do u get it right that u don't need it.
  11. This is what' I have done, hopefully it will be ok, started grinding welds down but rain came again lol, so just sprayed some primer and black paint over it to stop it rusting till next weekend, then gonna grind wields flush and put thin skim of filler over it. please be nice not the greatest welder bolted two pieces of angle iron together to make a brake to fold metal to make the little bit of box section, and drilled an hole welded a nut on the back where the wing bolts too. then welded the box section then had to make the big flat part In a couple pieces, this is where it got hard and made it so it didn't have 2 pieces of metal against each other like factory with seam sealer. I just welded it to the sides, and then it rained so painted it black, so don't rust, it looks terrible I know but hopefully when I grind wields down and skim of filler I hope it shouldn't be seen or I'll start again. again please be nice I'm a mechanic, don't do bodywwork but thought I'd try.
  12. bloody loads of replies lol, yeah was only joking didn't think it really was a master key, but looks cool and fits my car, so I got me what seems a rare fairladyz key. tried it in oobumblebeeoo car and it don't fit so it was ment for me and my z lol.
  13. To bloody big lol, it had to come out there was rust in the seam sealer, I done it aanother way, welded the little box section bit in, then made the shape but instead off folding it up the side of the box section bit I welded it to the bottom, so there ain't 2 sheets together with no paint and no seam. other side of box section gonna use an hole cutter and make a hole so can spray some primer, paint and then dinitrol. and hope it will be ok lol.
  14. oh dear, I made a big hole lol, found some rust in the seams so decided to cut it out and at the same time I will be able to get rid of where my hicas use to bolt too. got a new bit welded in, but couldn't take no pics cause it poured down with rain. hopefully be able to grind wields down and make it nice and smooth.
  15. Hi mate, I reshelled mine, and glad I did, had UK spec car, and had it painted and along the bottom of seal I had took stonechip off for smooth look, and it had little spots of rust coming back. no actual holes in the car at seemed very clean UK car. but my cousin had a zed and smashed his front bumper and found a grey zed on ebay for couple hundred quid with no engine in it. he took front bumper off and said to me take what I want before he scraps it. got underneath and it was like a new car, so stripped it had the shell sprayed colour of my car and put all my UK bits onto it. I ain't looked back since doing it, I'm now stonechiping underneath to make sure it stays clean. if I was doing it again I would strip the shell stonechip it all, dinitrol wax it. then paint it. it's nice when there a bare shell cause u can paint engine bay and everywhere and have one very clean zed. couple pics when I done mine dinitrol stonechip underneath the car, just waiting for bits from ebay the bottom of the car and wheel arches will all be gloss black hopefully no rust for a few yrs. pic of the shell and engine bay.. I'm doing all the dinitrol stonechip now, instead of when I last reshelled the car wish I done it all before cause almost had to strip it all again lol.. just make sure u find a shell in mint condition if you want to do it, I'm getting a right fussy git with my zed and it's starting to get on my nerves lol. goodluck with whatever way you choose to do it.
  16. my uncles plate is not funny, but looks cool it is 5fd he also has 5pd his name is Steve Frederick. Davis. flash git had 2 bentley turbo put a screw in one plate so both said the same. he now has it on a Jag xf and merc. he said he brought them from milk floats lol . wouldnt want to buy them now
  17. do I get a brand new zed, that goes with the key. which could not be driven cause the lost key. then again, with what happened when I put it in my car, looks like zeds could be 1key fits all. I be getting a much better alarm and immobilizer now.
  18. they are cool too, thank u. I want a white one and no way am I spraying a model too lol.
  19. sorry thought u was joking, is it for the z in your Sig, don't do it lol. I'm only messing I ain't a fan of big spoilers, but we all have own taste. your z looks stunning has it is though,:wink:
  20. no way lol. u are joking.... how much for that thing....
  21. narnia lol, on here yeah it's oem and bloody ugly.
  22. I'm gonna be a pain and say mid level lol. high level to high, 99spec have one in the garage, went to fit it and looks great from some angles and crap from others. looks like it ain't wide enough and just plonked on. sorry for being awkward.
  23. this time next year, I have every zed on here, cuts look pretty close to my key, doubt it would start or open all of them, that was a joke stealing zeds if anyone's cars go missing it was not me. it would kill me if mine was nicked. chop there hands off lol.
  24. hi guys, breaker I bought not only has a weird key, has an aerial in front bumper, think it's a marker type thing don't know what to call it lol.. how many zeds have these, looks weird. a strange zed, and it's an 1989 on an r plate, must have sat around and not been registered for nearly 10yrs. runs well but scruffy paint, and auto box gone. got lots of spares now lol.
  25. Dave Brock, yep starts it too lol. my zed skeleton key.
