  1. Ordered some dark smoke only ordered 3meter length by 76cm. The new boot I have is done already lol so that's a result. Only bought a little bit gonna have a look at the colour, and see how hard it is to do. Otherwise I'll let a professional do it, like custom exotic thanks for letting me know. Cheers for all the replys, and I'll see about doors will hold a bit up and see how dark it is. U think it will look ok with just rear quarters and rear screen done or will it look odd.
  2. Gotta admit my passager door window is a bit crazy, If i use switch on passenger door it's fine, but using drivers side switch to shut passenger window it's slow like the battery is low. Goes up and shuts fine but really feels like it's struggling.
  3. Hi guys, Want to black my rear window, rear quarters and doors. It's a white car. What colour should I get, there seems so many light, mid, dark in smoked or limo black. Got a white and black thing going on lol, but don't wanna get something I can't see out of or looks silly So what have u got.... Any help appreciated.
  4. His looking at them big range rover brembos I bet, and either ment a crashed one or if his real dodgy a bent one lol. If u use bigger calipers, think gtr or 350z are cheapest. Gotta make sure your wheels clear them.
  5. I had a problem on a focus once, sure the key part had like a cable with a cross shaped bit on the end that had worn, Im sure i broke the grill and customer got a new one. Seems it's quite common for them to fail, stupid really should have a cable for emergency. Don't know if this helps http://www.fordwiki.co.uk/index.php?title=Bonnet_Stuck_Fix
  6. Sorry it's frozen silver but can't find colour code the code 490 is bmw frozen silver metallic, I think but it's a bmw colour so a car paint shop should easily find and supply it...
  7. Colour code 490 frozen silver is all I can find for the minute I'll keep looking lol
  8. Put the series 2 stuff on the TT and the na rear diff and subframe make the manual gearbox fit the tt and just buy a tt flywheel and clutch. Then your have a nice manual tt with na rear and series2 bit's lol. Goodluck with whatever u do, I'm surprised we don't all hate zeds there a pain in the :asshole:
  9. What about this looks quite good..
  10. This is the white my car is painted really clean white
  11. U must be joking I ain't ever welding a car again, lol or grinding. This is sort of what I was saying the bit I did was hard work and I'd say to get a professional to do it would cost a fair bit. I'm glad I done mine, cause where I welded the box section inside theres no paint now, so I got my gun for spraying cavity wax with long extension and filled empty stonechip tin with primer and blasted that in the holes and then some paint and cavity wax. When I look in holes with a torch there's paint everywhere it's much thinner then stonechip and blasted half a litre in there and it all poured out everywhere lol. Everywhere I welded I made sure to put paint on even in places u can't see, When u weld new seals on how they gonna get paint where the welds have burnt it off are they gonna take interior out and try paint inside there just gonna use weld thru primer and it will start to rust again. Maybe if u paid and had a classic car restoration, I'm no good at bodywork but tried to do has much has I could, I bet body shop would have welded my box section and not worried about all the paint on the inside they burnt off and would start rusting again. Most likely would take a few years to rust through but it's still rusting lol. God I hate rust...
  12. I had mine painted merc artic white and having it painted again soon and going with the same. White is great, it's cheap paint and not a fancy colour but really stands out when polished and I can just wash it and leather it and still gleams u don't see the swirls and stuff u get with dark cars. And white seems to hide a lot, like if it ain't blocked straight u can get ripples down the sides on say a black car would stick out like a sore thump. White will hide it a bit so don't have to pay thousands out having it painted like a show car, not saying to not have it done right but I've had mine painted few times and they allways seem to miss something, but then I ain't paying thousands on a paint job.
  13. God that does look bad, hope u sort it rust is horrible. The last pic is that the front wheel arch, almost looks like it's been torn. I had a tiny bit of rust in the engine bay where the seam sealer had came away and that ended up a big hole the rest of the car is like new. When u start cutting all that out how far is it gonna go. I had a UK spec car had it resprayed and bits started coming back on the arch etc. They seem to rust inside out so even bits that seem solid are likely on there way out. I ended up buying another shell and painting all the bits u can't get at with panels on then painted panels put them on the new shell. Done engine bay everywhere etc. But I wish I undersealed it with stonechip when the shell was stripped cause that's what I'm doing now and then gonna paint car again. I hope this time with new paint, dinitrol 447 stonechip underneath whole car and dinitrol cavity wax inside seals, box sections etc, it should last a few bloody year's. All the panels u buy or fabricate, the welding and painting I'd bet it's cheaper to buy a non runner or shell from someone and paint it cause u could repair yours and it could come back in places that ain't rotted through yet. I have my interior out and when I look inside my seals/ box section with a torch there's no rust at all. I have a breaker zed with bits of rust on seals and looking inside can see it's rusted from inside out. Whatever u do after its done get some protection from dinitrol or similar to stop it happening again This is what I done to my shell and hopefully it won't rust for a while I made a mistake and bought dinitrol 447 in grey 1st, and done under whole car and when I asked dinitrol about painting over it black cause its overpaintable they laughed and said they do it in black and it does not have to be over painted its just cosmetic to make it look better, so I bought it again in black so it has a grey stonechip and black over that so double protected lol. Here's a pic in grey, And some in black, It looks weird in pics but it's really nice and clean looking but the flash on my phone makes it look a funny. It's messy job laying on your back spraying. This is when I last painted the shell, but I ruined it rushed it back together in about week was giving my garage up and that was painting it too, Think that's why rust started in engine bay knocked Seam sealer off forcing engine in and then water got in the seam... I hate rust and once it's started its hard to fix without cutting everything out and yours looks quite bad and u may end up cutting more off then u think, I'm crap at body work and welding so may be easier then it looks. But I would look for a good shell and just change all the nuts and bolts over, if your not fussy u may get a good body non runner that don't need paint and just fix engine. But make sure u protect it whatever u do. Sorry for long reply lol and goodluck
  14. God I ain't seen one of them in a while, looks mint. I had a pearl pink mark1 xr2 with xr2 stickers in purple writing up the side Got it off my uncle it was pink but not a girl pink lol, was a really nice colour looked the nuts.
  15. Is that what they were I scrapped them some nutter painted them gun metal with yellow lips, just had them on to paint the shell..
  16. The black paint all round my engine bay is where I've worked on bits and any Bare metal I covered with black trade spray paint My engine bay did look like this couple yrs back lol...
  17. Couple more pics... And this is the other side with the seam sealer lines I've gotta replicate Hopefully the seam sealer won't be that bad I bought seam sealer that goes in a gun, hoping it will come out in a bead similar to the factory. Bet it don't lol.
  18. Soon be done then we can all meet, no meeting up without me...f@#kers...
  19. And I got a few runs in the primer, that's what the lumpy bits are in some places, I think it's starting to look much better now. Got all the paint and stuff soon has I get all the prep work done were gonna paint the engine bay in my garage, Then I can put pipes, looms and engine etc back in, then drive it to where it's being painted. Think I'll get away with engine bay without oven, So much to do and with work no time to do it.
  20. Had today off work and done a bit more to my welds in the engine bay. It's not finished yet run out of time today so painted it in some primer. Gonna get it all smooth then use seam sealer and make the lines to match the passanger side Gonna wire brush the seam sealer off the passenger so that will have new seam sealer cause its gone a bit hard and that's where the rust seemed to start on the side I repaired. Hopefully cause I'm gonna put new seam sealer both sides I will be able to make both sides look the same instead of trying to replicate one side...
  21. I don't normally like them kits, but that does look good. Defo better then the Porsche. Bet it would get some looks.
  22. And his evo was the most boring thing I've ever driven, was fast but didn't fill like it just put it down. The zed when your fighting it trying to keep it straight allways gets my heart pumping and feels so much quicker even though it ain't. His sold the evo now bought a Celica gt4 it's got over 400bhp. Some expensive Toyo tyres that bloody grip. U can rev it has high has u like drop the clutch, there's no wheelspin feels like it jumps off the bloody floor. But still so boring, maybe it's me I hate 4wd, the other thing I hate is I can go round a corner and feel when the zed is gonna let go so can really push it. Both his evo and gt4 maybe it's me not used to 4wd but they both seem to give u no warning and feel like I have no confidence and won't push it. Or it could be I've had the zed for bloody years and i know it more then I know my misses lol.
  23. Don't know if u guys agree but the zed don't seem that great off the line, trys to spin up. My cousin had an evo not sure what one but big silly spoiler on the back lol. From a stop I allways struggled but rolling over about 50, the zed made it look stupid. I bet it would be the same with that merc, the zed on the motorway is a bit of an animal, and I'd say would hold its own with some big motors.
  24. Hi, I don't like car covers, most likely do more damage then left in the open. Water might build up inside and wind may damage paint on the corners if it blows about.
  25. Lucky u and lucky zed, living in Spain, it's to cold and wet here. Where's your pics...
