  1. There must be something wrong cause when mine was last on the road, around town if it was wet or icy and I give it some the rear will go and it can be tricky but on the motorway mine so stable. It seems to feel like it gets really heavy and can't move it. Did you say in one of your threads u were having speedo problems, cause that can make the cars steering light. Mine at a certain speed steering gets heavy to make it better at higher speed. I had a time before when mine was very unstable and hicas bushes were gone I changed them and it was better but not quite right, checked everything and had a shock gone replaced that and the difference was unbelievable, Had cars with shocks gone and would be floaty but the zed was literally dangerous.
  2. I drive bad lol... Maybe its just me, even carbon fibre they say its stronger then steel but when u hit it it shatters in a million bits all over the road. Metal bends but seems to stay in one piece. Id rather be in a steel car round a lamp post anyday, im probably wrong and the carbon is probably stronger but it dont look it. Its the bumpers you allways see where they rub the bumper over a high curb and snap the bottom bit. I've done it in my old zed and it squashed over the curb and only scrapped the paint. Cause I had a bad time with it, I just prefer the standard stuff,
  3. I had your skirts and they were great fitting and fine I just hate front bumpers, cause I always bash them and the standard bumpers flex the fiber glass ive had will crack. But I could buy 2 of your 99spec bumpers for one original so could look at it that way.
  4. I had a j reg 2.2vtec was like nightrider the dash, drove it to spain and everywhere it just wouldn't break I'd have another has a run around any day. Spoilers and things are ok, but fibreglass hit a ramp or high curb they just crack and snap. My 99spec I was test fitting it and had a wheel underneath the front, the car fell off the stands with no wheels on the car and the bumper wrapped around the wheel I thought it was gonna be ruined but it popped straight out.
  5. Seems like most of us are getting old and like them suttle now lol... I had a prelude with a 1500quid fibreglass kit and a transit backed into it outside my house it shattered and fell to bits so never bought fibreglass stuff since.
  6. The low level spoiler I quite like and I even like the mid level, think car mad has a mid level on his.
  7. If im totally honest I bought the skirts. And there panel clipped like from factory to the seals so I've drilled all the holes so I have to keep them. And now im not to fussed if they were there or not it makes it look right with 99spec bumper cause the shape of 99spec it looks lower then the skirts and the skirts bring the sides all the same level, but they don't look has smooth has not having them.
  8. All I need is that twinz rear bumper thats what im after at a later date... I had mine with no spoiler and it looked a bit plain. I like them to look like there ment to look that way if u get what I mean not bits stuck on.
  9. I got the original version r skirts too, but don't like 99spec rear spoiler bought one and it looked odd in some angles so got the pedestal type or whatever they call it lol, which I prefer. Trying to get a slightly different but original smooth look...I hope...
  10. Yeah its original I bought it from zcentre took about a month to get it.
  11. I get it back sataday, so im gonna keep my fingers crossed, or im gonna have to strangle him the bumper was 500 bloody quid and a long wait from japan. Thanks everyone for the advice.
  12. Sorry yeah I had some mipa elastic I gave him, hopefully he used it. So if his baked it at 70 does that mean its knackered...
  13. I sprayed plasticizer/adhesion promoter on it to make sure, im sure he said he baked it at 70% but may be wrong I can find out. Im getting worried now lol. He said there gone back hard it was only when they were hot.
  14. Hi guys I have bought a new 99spec bumper and my cars being sprayed. But whe put the 99spec bumper and rear bumper in the oven and when it got hot it went all floppy lol. The painter said he was worried about when i fit them cracking. Adhesion promoter was used I sprayed it on, He said not to worry if anything happens he will spray them again. Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems or if its normal, he said he thought they was gonna melt they were that soft. Thank you.
  15. But in the 1st bit says check whats( fitted works) if not there how can u test it. Im new to testing but thats how I see it, but don't know if im right lol.
  16. I wouldn't worry about mot test the tester would have to be a bit of an hitler to get to involved. Im an mot tester. Just read. Vehicles equipped with high intensity discharge (hid) or led Dipped beam headlamps may be fitted with headlamp washers and a suspension or headlamp self leveling system. (Where such systems are fitted they must work), however it is accepted that it may not be possible to readily determine the funtioning of self leveling systems, In such cases the benefit of the doubt must be given. Where hid or led dipped beam are fitted, switch on the headlams and check the operation of any headlamp leveling and cleaning devices. Reason to fail A headlamp leveling or cleaning device device inoperative or otherwise obviously defective.
  17. Pressure bleeding you would normally screw a cap on to the reservoir, and it will have a bottle filled with brake fluid and the bottle has a line coming off that u would put say on your tyre and the pressure will blow it through so no pumping the pedal. I have one at work that attaches to an airline u put an end on the bleed nipple and it sucks it through. But I usually get someone to pump the pedal till it gets has hard has its going to get, then hold it down why the bleed nipple is cracked, Keeping it down to the nipple is shut, then pump it up again. U may have to run round the car a couple of times just to make sure its all clear. I do abs pump, rear left, rear right, front left, then front right. Should bleed easy if not check all bleed nipples are on the top of calipers silly mistake I made lol. Or try clamping calipers by the rubber hoses to see if the pedal improves should narrow where the fault is if there is one.
  18. Sounds good to me mate, atleast it may be a bit warmer lol. just pm me closer the time. or pm me your number and I'll text u mine back through.
  19. At least exhaust wont be a problem, Gravesend is between me and Dartford so not to far. That is what id do if bushes are ok leave them be and get some locking collars.
  20. Ant your gonna have to park your zed on my drive so I can pretend I have a zed lol... The wait is a killer... Its 100 times better then that little sprayout thing. Hows your lights are they done yet.
  21. It made the car feel lighter and pull better in any gear. Mine would spin up a bit easier but felt more controlled and predictable cause hicas is gone. I wouldn't use solid bushes on my car would have thought you will get vibration and be more harsh, but it depends what you want from the car. Me personally if the original bushes are ok and not dripping etc I'd keep them and maybe use some locking collars. But if u really want them changed I found some on I think z1and there poly bushes which had sleeves or u will have to try save your old sleeves which is harder then just knocking the whole lot out... I have mainly fitted standard original stuff to cars so not to clued up on the performance stuff to buy. maybe open a thread on best subframe bushes to buy and where from. or if it the original bushes are ok just save some money and leave them alone and buy the locking collars to stiffen it up a bit. Not really sure on where your mum lives maybe u spelt it wrong lol. but if u keep original bushes its only a few hours work. The only problem I have seen on some zeds is getting the bloody exhaust off if it aint been off in a while. done that with my cousins clutch takes about 3hrs on my car, cousins car all the bloody bolts snapped and was a pain in the a@#e lol
  22. If u have new bushes then we will replace them mate. I live about half an hr from Dartford. Last time I burn the rubber out and then hammered the sleeves out. But I ended up going with an na diff and bushes were ok so just used them. When I was going to replace bushes. Sure some kits needed sleeves left in and some u could buy with sleeves... If u want to replace them just find out what bush kit u have and if u keep the sleeves or not.
  23. I have a press at work but I took them out my tt sub frame by heating them up and knocking them out, it wont be a problem.
  24. Drive it to kent one weekend and I'll do it for u, converted mine to na, im a mechanic/mot tester so it will be done properly. And it will only cost u your fuel....
  25. Thanks, its weird colour but atleast its different...
