Thermostat,if not opening will cause overheating and blow water out of overflow pipe at top of rad on right hand side.

Hi Brettyboy and welcome. I bought a Z in March this year and as it was running fine have left it alone,just slowly cleaning bits n pieces under the bonnet. I have found the club members very helpfull and all ive done is to download servicing instructions etc. Handy if and when i need them. If your Z is running ok then i'd leave it alone, apart from usual servicing like oil,filter,cam belt etc.

Im using fully synthetic 10-50. My car is modified and i tend to use it for longer journeys though.I have also added Active 8,this is a friction reducer and will prolong the life of the engine. Im not usually into using addatives but seaw a demo and was very impressed.

Still be nice if Clarkson was to do a slot on our cars though.

You could always press the brake pedal to see if pistons move, but not to far or you'll have the pistons on the floor and brake fluid everywhere !!

After a cam belt kit(jap,TT),japenese car spares do kit with pully's for £149, made by koyo or NTK. Is this good price and product ? Also is it worth changing water pump at same time ?
