2. £8k for a mint AC Schnitzer!! whats the world coming to??
3. oh yeah i remember them! in a brown packet weren't they? they were awesome!!!! EDIT: yellow! :headvswal
4. surely that yellow suage line isn't stock either! as for being 'best of its kind'... well... perhaps not...
5. does he go round grooming young children in that thing?!?!? :wack:  err nice run Nick, not bad for a metro!
6. nothing can penetrate the engine bay there's so much metal up front! very lucky escape!
7. you'd be crap at flying if you'd downed a pint of john smiths that was 100x your body mass!!
8. im intending to refresh my suspension all round - as i posted in another thread, when i upgraded from my 18s to 19s, both front tyres were very worn on the inside half. assuming suspension problems at the front also due to there being more of a gap on one side than the other, i've elected to go with KYB struts, eibach springs, powertrix front and rear arms, and adjustable front tension rod. then i'll get a fully geometry setup - not cheap and perhaps not 100% necessary but at least i'll have peace of mind
9. nice collection there mate! welcome!
10. here's a list of one or two companies that various members on here have tried, if youre stuck for people to ring http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=112165
11. im sure Stu's links will be useful, just to say the next step would be to use some software to write the pages of your site. some of the main ones (like Microsoft Frontpage) also manage the whole site for you whereas the smaller (and free-r ones) will just enable you to design one page. you may need seperate software to upload the pages you've designed on your computer up to your website, like FileZilla. hope this sheds some light
12. spoke to Andy at Amington today, gave him the only paint code that I'd discovered from my research, he looked it up and told me it was Mazda Atlantic Blue - exactly the colour I was looking for. :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: lets hope its the right one though! lol. i'll find out on the 25th of April.
13. even with the mentioned supporting mods (intake, zorst, 440cc injectors and 14psi) you wouldnt make 400 at the wheels. you might approach 400 at the fly with a touch more boost, decat pipes and one or two other mods like lightweight pulley
14. fookn terrifying aint it, what theyre plotting behind closed doors.
15. im just 'buying' lost ep11 at the moment! cant wait!!! pure phone off the hook business
16. thanks for the replies folks! ive started (again!) with a place called REO, not far from me. they were recommended to me 5 years ago when i was looking for someone to do the original work. they were undercut in the end by the chaps that did do it, but i would have confidently gone to them as they didnt look like cowboys and they looked experienced. i gave them a bell today and explained my problem and what i'd investigated so far. they reckon they can mix the paint for me, as long as the bodyshop doing the work (Amington opposite Jeff's) are happy to use someone else's paint. its water-based, which i believe is what the original paint is. i'll give Andy @ Amington a bell tomorrow and see what the score is. crikey time's a-running out!
17. lol, ive been double-clutching all the way to work and back since i read this thread!!! :D heel-and-toeing in the civic is a nightmare as the gas pedal is tucked away much lower than the brake pedal. it makes such a smooth drop in gear when you (by fluke!) get the revs about right during the transition.
18. right ive decided to refresh the suspension all round - I've laid claims to a set of KYB AGX shocks, im going to get powertrix adjustables front and back, and probably eibach springs. the important thing is that the height is adjustable front and back, so i can play with it until i can finally get my 19s to sit under the car without trying to rotate the whole ****ing car around them!!! i wont get them sorted by my MOT tho (may 1st) so i might have to get stung with a stock replacement as i know I'll fail my MOT on my current setup :(
19. welcome mate :duffer:
20. was emailed this by a mate. soppy as foook i know but i have to admit it brings a smile to my face. :wack:
21. although sometimes individual parts aren't to everyone's taste, i reckon as a whole it's all coming together nicely. if i were to do one thing, i'd remove the Z badge from the headlight panel ;)
22. what an amazing machine. if only our tubs were that easy to change
23. tell you what Andy that's helped a treat - and ive learned something new about the gearbox. i was labouring under the misunderstanding that neutral and clutch down were the same thing. i didnt realise that things were happening even in neutral. thanks for taking the time to explain that mate! double-clutching, here we come! [ah crap, i cant even get my z off the driveway at the moment - will have to practice in the civic!]
24. well, new rubber on the front two old 18s (set me back £120), so with the 19s and spacers off at least the sh*tbag will be mobile again. im gonna risk skipping the tracking and just get a new suspension setup all round, and then get it tracked.
