  1. im a little confused too - i can see the obvious benefit of bringing the revs up between dropping a gear so its smoother, but why cant you just blip the throttle between the gear change, instead of moving to neutral, bringing the clutch up and then pressing down again to go into the lower gear?
  2. im running out of time to find the exact colour my motor is painted in. ive tried central car paints here in Leicester, Halfrauds, and a dealership of the make i thought it was painted in. ive managed to track down the mobile number of the guy who painted it but had to shut up shop by contacting his best mate's dad, lol, but the phone is permanently switched off. ive seen so many paint chips i think im now colour blind, and ive got one month left :headvswal looking through more paint books aint gonna help, so can anyone recommend a place in the Midlands who has got the kit/expertise to say what it is?
  3. agreed. i think the default format tends to be mp4 or flv and i often end up needing to convert them to mpg or something
  4. Toad ai606. had nae problems with it.
  5. as a swap for a stock Z, then yeah! but for a modded one like Faisals or mine, or many others on here. thanks but no thanks! ive been in a Tuscan doing over 100 at Bruntingthorpe and i really thought it would fall apart. terrible build quality.
  6. yeah, then torch the joint for real!
  7. just visit http://www.keepvid.com - dont need to install anything. just paste the URL of the vid and hit the download button ;)
  8. anthracite :) im hopefully having that colour mesh on my WW bumper when its fitted
  9. sorry to hear that, yeah get a PS3 :D we got trophies too! (ok copied from the xbox a little but hey)
  10. sorry to hear this mate, at least you all walked away
  11. thats what i'll be doing to mine in a minute :mac1:
  12. using the tyre calculator, my wheels have grown 17mm in diameter from 18 to 19, plus 20mm in width. somethings definately gone up s**t creek though. plan of action: get some new rubber for my old 18's (front only, as they were bald on the insides) - remove the spacers and chuck the 18s back on the front so its back to how it was (and therefore driveable), and get the tracking checked. this is no doubt in lieu of finding something else wrong. forgot to mention that yesterday after putting the spacers on, i couldnt even get my car down the ramp and out of the driveway - the tyres weren't just rubbing on the arches, they were trying to MOVE THE WINGS. :headvswal
  13. from what ive interpreted, apart from the issue it looks like a nice motor, and a realistic claimed BHP too! worth a fair amount in aftermarket bits if the problem is relatively terminal
  14. with those rebuilt turbos you could run about 16/17psi on that setup bearing in mind the stock pistons wouldnt last a great length of time, so forged pistons (87.5mm and overbore to give 2990cc) would be a must if you want more power. that would give about 450 at the flywheel. the pistons and turbos are letting you down at this point. only worth getting twin intake if youre set up for 500bhp or more
  15. ive never been a fan of hers, but no-one deserves that, especially her children. RIP.
  16. Happy Birthday mate! :duffer: :duffer:
  17. one of the best IMO - definately worth waiting for. i wonder where the crew go for a holiday - Rhyl?
  18. ^ correctamundo. i take it then the car is an import. safety boost would only reach about half way
  19. stupid bleeder probably needs his eyes tested (or a calculator!) ...however didnt the police say that the bloke had sold the car to someone over in Germany before they could inspect it for modifications? i smell NOS, lol!
  20. more pics: this is with the steering pointing in the same direction. the nearside wheels are pointing slightly left, and the offside wheels are pointing slightly right F**K!
  21. update: got a pair of 5mm ripspeed (wikid) spacers, chucked them on the hub first, chucked the hubcentrics on, chucked the wheels on, and... ...well, they clear the inside of the arms nicely... ...they stick out just a tad too much to be legal i reckon, but then again my intention was to see if the 25mm would fix my problem altogether and if so, take the 5mm's off, hack the thread by 5mm and leave just the 20mm's on. unfortunately it seems that for some reason now my fookin wheels are pointing in different directions (probably not good :slap: ) checked all round to make sure spacers etc. seated properly, which they were. even though the driveway is sloped slightly from house to road, there is definately about 10mm less clearance in the offside arch :( which makes me think my suspension is really fooked and is sagging down on that side and causing the problems (or making them far worse). pic 1 shows 5mm's on before 20mm's. pic 2 shows offside front arch clearance (or lack of)
  22. yeah ill probably give that a try tomorrow mate. front profile is 35. noobish question here - but are those five small nuts all thats required to hold the spacer to the hub???
