50mph - going down without a fight?
thanks for that Peranaman  i know it can be a touchy subject for some, but i personally agree with every word said. the only way you'll ever completely stop RTAs from happening is to ban all forms of transport. and we know that's an impossible idea. accidents happen. sometimes they could have been avoided, sometimes there's no chance of avoiding them. both ways they can be very sad and tragic :( but i mainly agree with the big boot, blanket bans that these amateurs impose on us at the slightest sniff of a problem. they were supposed to be the government for 'the people', but theyre more like an Idi Amin dictatorship sometimes - employing 'gangs' of wardens to stalk your house and slap fines on you if your bin lid isn't at the right angle. christ, Hitler never even thought of that! ...sorry I seem to have drifted a little.....

is this the right colour?
b***er! :( i went to Robinson's Mazda like Dave suggested and although the chap there was helpful, he didnt recognise the colour Atlantic Blue. We put my petrol flap up against a 'Winning Blue' RX-8 and there is a slight difference. the sun came out at the time so we got a good look, and the winning blue (as in the mazda pics above) is a slightly richer blue (a tiptoe towards bayside blue), whereas mine is slightly lighter and has a hint of aquamarine. so took my flap to halfords and they dug out their mazda colours, and no luck there either. i did notice however that there's a light blue called lagoon blue, and to my expert (lol) knowledge of paint, perhaps a mixture of winning blue with a hint of lagoon blue would give me my colour. maybe the bodyshop nicknamed it atlantic blue themselves... do you think a decent paint analyser would be clever enough to pick up if a colour is actually a blend of more than one colour paint? i might go through yellow pages again to scout out a decent local bodyshop but it'll have to wait till next week - ive just moved two of my dad's freezers, and in an hour or so i'm off to have my spacers put on!

anyone had a dispute against them on fleabay?
Well, I stood my ground and politely said I reckoned someone else has taken it 'by mistake' at the premesis and if he wasn't happy then to open a claim, which he has done. Paypal have sent a link to a rediculous claim page where the only three options for me are: I can prove I sent it, I can prove I refunded, or I haven't sent it. No fourth option of: I can't prove I sent it, which is obviously useless to my defence anyway. So it looks like Ive been shagged out of a £30 playstation game and I hope he enjoys playing with his freebie toy. :mac1: unfortunately, as usual, the minority has spoiled it for the majority, as now in the future I'm going to charge extra for 'signed for' service.

is this the right colour?
ok i need to find out the colour code of my paint job but the guys that painted it back in Nov 05 have shut down and moved on. they described it as 'mazda atlantic blue', but that colour appears not to exist :headvswal ive put up a few pics of the Z on a Mazda forum, and the first reply I've had is that it could be 'winning blue'. ive done a search of winning blue motors - do you reckon this is my colour?

anyone had a dispute against them on fleabay?
paid in readies. posted at the counter, but the receipt doesnt have any postcodes on, its just a cash receipt - sometimes they write the postcode on each receipt but even that wouldn't prove anything. thanks for the responses, some good ideas here ;)

anybody brave enough to give this a go
awesome piece of work, and two essential things to measure if youre running high power and youve not got the assistance of something like an R-Fit. its just all the work involved puts off a lazy sod like me

anyone had a dispute against them on fleabay?
i flogged four PS3 games two weeks ago - three of them arrived safely at their different buyers - this fourth guy reckons he's not received it and wants his money back. normally id consider my customers and issue a refund, but this was street fighter 4 and was worth over £30. he's only got 22 feedback and i reckon (also judging by his 'wikid' email address) that he's trying it on, especially as amazon are selling it for £28. he didnt contact me at all, but lodged a dispute against me 2 weeks later. i responded politely and asked him to check with anyone that might have collected it from the door (the address is a company not a residence) and he said he's checked with them and at the post office (funnily enough this was the morning after i contacted him at night, so a) how the hell would he contact the post office at night, and b) if he'd already contacted the post office, why not contact me first and ask if id sent it before going to the trouble????) unfortunately i didnt get proof of postage or delivery as everyone else i deal with are no problem at all. do you think i should just spunk up the £30, or let him take it further. i have 640 100% feedback so at least i should be seen as a good ebay member.
